Ramadan Kareem

Glass in a hand-painted stand

Ramadan Kareem, on tempered glass, in a hand-painted wooden stand. Made in one size, 35 × 35 cm.

Two decisions before it ships

Size

Made in one size, 35 × 35 cm, drawn to scale against a table below.
In use

It ships as two pieces. The sign slides into the groove in the stand, and that is the whole assembly.

Size in the hand

Made in one size, 35 × 35 cm

One size only, 35 × 35 cm. It is drawn below at true scale against a dining table, which is the honest way to judge it.

Size	Width × height (in)	Width × height (cm)	Best for
One size	13.8 × 13.8″	35 × 35 cm	A console, a sideboard or a dinner table — the size most chosen

Measure the surface, not the wall. A table piece is judged on the depth of the surface it stands on rather than the width of the room. Measure front to back, and leave enough room that it is not the first thing knocked when someone reaches past it.

Materials

What it is made of

Material: Tempered glass & woodPanel in a wooden stand
Finishing: Glass in a wooden standAcrylic calligraphy

Craft

Script laid onto the glass

The calligraphy is applied in acrylic onto a tempered glass panel, and the panel seats into a hand-painted solid spruce stand. Whatever is behind the glass becomes the background.

The glass reads as a window rather than as a board

On glass. Because the panel is clear, whatever is behind it becomes the background — the table, the cloth, the candle. The piece never looks the same twice, which a printed board cannot do.

Using it

Living with it

A table piece is set down once and left, so the two minutes spent deciding where are the whole job.

Slide the sign into the stand

The groove runs the length of the stand. Lower the sign in square rather than at an angle, and it seats itself.
Set it where it is read from

A table piece is read from a seat, not from above. Put it down, sit where people sit, and move it once.
Back from the edge, off the traffic

A hand’s width in from the front keeps it out of the way of a reaching arm and a passing sleeve.

Packed for transit

Where it lives

Where it goes

A console or a sideboard

The run of furniture guests pass, where a piece this size is seen at standing height rather than looked up at.

A shelf or a bookcase ledge

It needs depth rather than width, which is what a shelf has and a wall does not.

A desk or a study table

Close enough to be read at arm’s length, which is the distance the detail is cut for.

Against the alternatives

	This piece	Commonly sold alternatives
Material	Tempered glass with acrylic script, wood stand	Mass-produced, in a thinner material
What it is	The greeting itself, cut as the object	A printed panel with a stand fixed to the back

Care

Keeping it as it arrived

Glass cleaner on the glass only

Keep it off the acrylic script and off the painted wood; both mark.

Dry cloth on the stand

Painted wood wants nothing wet on it.

Lift the panel out by its edges

It slides free of the stand. Held by the face, glass takes fingerprints that show at every angle.

One size, one construction. Check the depth of the surface it is going on — a table piece is judged front to back rather than across.

Frequently Asked Questions

Tempered glass is moisture-resistant, but the artwork or ink used may not be waterproof. It's best to keep the art indoors and away from direct exposure to rain or high humidity. If used in bathrooms, ensure it's in a well-ventilated area and securely mounted.

While tempered glass itself resists UV damage, the printed artwork may gradually fade if exposed to direct sunlight for extended periods. For longevity, it's recommended to place your wall art away from harsh, direct sunlight or use UV-protective window films.

Use a soft microfiber cloth and a mild glass cleaner. Spray the cleaner onto the cloth (not directly onto the glass) and gently wipe the surface. Avoid abrasive materials or strong chemicals, as they may scratch the glass or damage the artwork's finish.

Yes, tempered glass is significantly stronger and safer than regular glass. It is heat-resistant and designed to shatter into small, less dangerous pieces if broken. This makes it safe for use in various rooms, including kitchens and even children's rooms—though proper installation is essential.
