Surah Ar-Rahman 13

One verse, cut as a long band

Fa bi-ayyi ala-i rabbikuma tukazziban cut in wood with a gold or silver acrylic face, four lengths from 60 up to 150 cm.

Three decisions before it ships

  1. Size

    Four lengths — 60, 90, 120 or 150 cm — drawn to scale against a sofa below.

  2. Finish

Two finishes — gold or silver acrylic over the board.

  3. Hanging

The 60 cm is one piece; the three longer sizes come in two parts that meet on one line, which makes levelling the line the whole job.

What is written on it

The question the surah repeats

"Then which of the favors of your Lord will you deny?" — the line Ar-Rahman returns to thirty-one times.

فَبِأَيِّ آلاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

“Then which of the favors of your Lord will you deny?”

Surah Ar-Rahman 55:13

Size & scale

A long line is judged against the furniture

All four are around four times wider than they are tall, so these sit above a console, a sofa or a doorway rather than filling a wall. Drawn below at true scale over a three-seat sofa.

Three-seat sofa · 200 cm (79 in) wide, 82 cm (32 in) high 2XL · 150 × 41 cm 59.1 × 16.1 in XL · 120 × 32.7 cm 47.2 × 12.9 in L · 90 × 24.5 cm 35.4 × 9.6 in M · 60 × 16.4 cm 23.6 × 6.5 in
SizeWidth × height (in)Width × height (cm)Best for
M23.6 × 6.5″60 × 16.4 cmAbove a doorway, a shelf, or a narrow console
L35.4 × 9.6″90 × 24.5 cmAbove a two-seat sofa or a sideboard — the length most chosen
XL47.2 × 12.9″120 × 32.7 cmAbove a three-seat sofa, or a long hallway wall
2XL59.1 × 16.1″150 × 41 cmA full feature wall at a meter and a half across

Match it to the furniture, not the wall. A low horizontal piece looks right when it spans roughly two thirds of whatever sits beneath it. Run painter's tape to the full width first and look at it from where you normally sit.

Craft

Acrylic over a cut board

6 mm MDF with a 1.2 mm acrylic face over it — 7 mm in total. From 90 cm up the band is made in two pieces that meet while hanging, which is what keeps a long, fine script from flexing.

  • The verse cut as one band, in one or two pieces by size
  • Cut and layered so the calligraphy sits forward of the panel behind it
  • Wood and acrylic combined, each carrying its own depth and grain
  • Edges finished clean, with no visible fixings on the face

On wood and acrylic. Layering the two materials is what gives the piece its depth: the acrylic carries the line of the calligraphy and the wood behind it gives the panel warmth and weight.

Finishes

The finishes

Two finishes. Gold reads warm against off-white and cream; silver stays cooler and suits a room that already has chrome or glass in it.

Surah Rahman 13 wooden long band in gold

Gold

Warm and bright, and the one that reads best against off-white and cream walls.

Surah Rahman 13 wooden long band in silver

Silver

Cool and quiet, and the easiest to place in a room that already has chrome or glass in it.

Hanging it

One level line, and the join looks after itself

Because the longer sizes arrive in two parts, the line matters more than the fixing: mark it once and both halves sit on it.

  1. Find the center of the wall

Mark the center point rather than measuring in from a corner — a layered panel wants to sit centered on the wall it occupies.

  2. Tape the outline first

Painter's tape to the full outline lets you judge the proportion from where you normally sit, before any fixing goes in.

  3. Hang and check the level

Hang it, then step back across the room. A panel with a straight top edge shows a tilt more readily than a cut silhouette does.

  • Ships ready to hang; no frame, glass or backing board to fit
  • Packed with corner protection for transit

Where it goes

The walls a long line suits

Above the sofa

The wall this was designed for, spanning roughly two thirds of the seat beneath it.

Dining and console walls

A long, low piece sits naturally over a sideboard or a dining table, where a tall piece would crowd the ceiling.

Entryway and hallway

Cut work keeps a corridor from feeling closed in, because the wall reads through the letterforms.

Care

Keeping it as it arrived

Dry cloth only

A soft, dry cloth. Wood and acrylic both mark with abrasives, so nothing scouring.

No solvents

Alcohol and glass cleaner will haze acrylic. If a mark will not lift dry, use a barely damp cloth and dry it at once.

Away from damp and direct sun

Wood moves with humidity and acrylic can warm in direct sunlight, so give it an interior wall out of the midday light.

Choose your size and finish

Four sizes, and the finish is the rest of the decision. Tape the width on the wall first — it is the only measurement that matters.

Frequently Asked Questions

Repetition in the Qur'an is a powerful rhetorical tool for emphasis. In this chapter, the verse acts as a rhythmic pulse that follows descriptions of various favors—from the creation of the sun and moon to the promise of Paradise. It forces a pause, asking the listener to reflect on a specific blessing before moving to the next, building a profound sense of 'Shukr' (gratitude).

The Arabic word 'Tukadhdhiban' is in the dual form. It specifically addresses two distinct groups of creation: Mankind and the Jinn. This highlights that Allah's favors and the subsequent obligation of gratitude extend beyond the visible human world to include all sentient beings created for worship.

It serves as a constant 'Reality Check.' In a modern world often focused on what we lack, this verse anchors the heart in what we already have. It is particularly effective in dining areas or family rooms, where it encourages a culture of mindfulness and verbalizing 'Alhamdulillah' in daily life.

The 3D effect is achieved through a multi-layered precision laser-cutting process. Each piece is mounted to sit approximately 1.5 cm away from the wall. This offset creates a shadow-play effect; as your room's lighting shifts throughout the day, the calligraphy casts varying shadows, giving the sacred text a tangible, sculptural presence that flat prints cannot match.

Yes. Every piece undergoes a professional electrostatic powder-coating process. This creates a finish that is anti-tarnish (resisting oxidation), moisture-resistant (safe for humid areas or coastal homes), and UV-protected to prevent fading even in direct sunlight.

Maintenance is intentionally minimal. Because the specialized coating is non-porous, a simple dusting with a dry, soft microfiber cloth once a month is all that is required. We recommend avoiding wet wipes or chemical cleaners to preserve the integrity of the specialized protective layer.

Yes. Each design features an integrated hanging system on the reverse side. This allows the piece to sit securely against the wall with a professional 'floating' look, keeping the focus entirely on the calligraphy without visible or distracting hardware.

Our master designers in Turkey meticulously verify every 'harakat' (vowel mark) to ensure 100% theological and calligraphic accuracy. We bridge centuries of Ottoman script heritage with modern industrial precision, delivering a piece that is as spiritually authentic as it is artistically superior.

Gifting Surah Ar-Rahman 13 is a gesture of wishing a lifetime of contentment for the recipient. It is a prestigious choice because it represents the highest level of spiritual beauty, offering the new couple or family a permanent source of spiritual grounding and a reminder of the blessings inherent in their union.

Black painted, Gold Acrylic and Silver Acrylic

The wall art pieces are crafted from high-quality materials, including laser-cut MDF wood and acrylic. To maintain their appearance, avoid using water, alcohol, or chemicals. Clean the surfaces with a dry, soft cloth to preserve the finish. These materials ensure durability and a premium look suitable for long-term display.

Yes, all wall art pieces come fully assembled and ready to hang. They include pre-installed hanging hardware or nails or double-sided tapes for easy installation.

We do not recommend any chemical products. You can remove dust with a slightly damp cloth.
