A wudu guide for children

Every step of wudu, in order, on one board

The steps of wudu printed onto a durable acrylic board by UV print, so a child can follow the order before they pray. Two sizes, 15 × 10 and 30 × 20 cm.

Three decisions before it ships

  1. Size

    Two sizes, 15 × 10 or 30 × 20 cm — both small enough for a bathroom wall.

  2. Finish

One finish — UV printed on acrylic.

  3. Hanging

A small, light board. Where it goes matters more than how it is fixed.

Size & scale

Small on purpose, and drawn to scale

Both sizes are small — this is a board to be read at arm’s length, not seen across a room. They are drawn below at true scale above a three-seat sofa, which is what shows how compact they are.

Three-seat sofa · 200 cm (79 in) wide, 82 cm (32 in) high XL · 30 × 20 cm 11.8 × 7.9 in L · 15 × 10 cm 5.9 × 3.9 in
SizeWidth × height (in)Width × height (cm)Best for
L5.9 × 3.9″15 × 10 cmBeside a basin, or on a bedroom door
XL11.8 × 7.9″30 × 20 cmA shared bathroom or a classroom wall, where more than one child reads it

Hang it at the child’s eye level, not yours. The whole point is that a child can read it while they are at the basin. Measure from the floor to their eyes, not to yours, and put the board there.

Craft

Printed into the acrylic, not onto paper

The artwork is cured into the surface of the acrylic under UV light, so it does not sit on a paper layer behind glass. That is what lets a board in a bathroom be wiped rather than replaced.

  • Every step of wudu, in order, on one board
  • Printed directly onto the acrylic, so the color is in the surface rather than on a paper layer
  • A solid board rather than a print behind glass — nothing to crack or fog
  • Edges cut clean, with no frame to trap dust

On the UV printing. The ink is cured onto the acrylic under UV light rather than sprayed or laminated, which is what lets it keep its color on a bright wall and wipe clean without lifting.

Hanging it

At their height, near the basin

The fixing is trivial; the height is not. Get a child to stand where they wash and mark the board at their eye level.

  1. Measure to the child, not the wall

Have them stand at the basin and mark the wall at their eye level. That is the whole decision.

  2. Check it can be read from there

Hold the board at the mark and step back to where they actually stand. The smaller size needs to be close.

  3. Fix it where splashes will not sit

Beside the basin rather than behind the tap. A printed acrylic board wipes clean, but standing water still finds an edge.

  • Packed with corner protection for transit

Where it goes

Where it goes

Beside the basin

The wall they face while washing — the one place the order of the steps is actually needed.

A bedroom or bathroom door

Read on the way in, which is how the sequence gets learned rather than looked up.

A classroom or madrasah wall

The larger size holds a wall several children read from at once.

Care

Keeping it as it arrived

Dry cloth first

A soft, dry cloth. Acrylic marks with abrasives, so nothing scouring.

A damp cloth is fine

The print is cured into the acrylic rather than sitting on paper, so a barely damp cloth lifts splashes and marks.

No solvents

Alcohol and glass cleaner will haze acrylic. Water on a cloth is enough.

Frequently Asked Questions

Prophet Ya'qub (AS) spoke this verse when his sons asked to take their youngest brother, Benjamin, to Egypt. Having already lost Yusuf (AS) years prior, he acknowledged that human effort and promises of protection are limited. By saying "Allah is the best guardian," he surrendered his fear to the only One whose protection is absolute and unerring.

The pairing is intentional. Allah’s protection (Hifz) is not just a cold, mechanical shielding; it is rooted in His infinite Mercy (Rahmah). It suggests that when Allah protects us, He does so with a kindness that understands our vulnerabilities. This makes the verse a source of immense emotional comfort during times of anxiety or transition.

This is a popular choice for children's spaces because it serves as a visual Dua. While parents do their best to protect their children, this verse reminds them that the ultimate Guardian is Allah. It creates an atmosphere of peace and reliance on the Divine, teaching children from a young age where true security comes from.

The artwork is engineered with a multi-layered approach that creates physical depth. By mounting the script so it stands out from the base, the piece interacts with the light in the room. As the sun moves or lamps are turned on, the calligraphy casts shifting shadows, giving the sacred text a living, sculptural presence.

This design typically utilizes a fluid, protective 'Thuluth' or 'Diwani' script. The curves of the letters are often arranged to feel "encompassing," mirroring the theme of guardianship. The word 'Allah' is usually placed as the highest visual anchor to reinforce the message that all protection flows from Him.

The piece is mounted with specialized spacers that hold it away from the wall. This 'floating' look removes the need for bulky traditional frames, allowing the elegant Arabic script to breathe. It creates a clean, minimalist silhouette that fits perfectly in contemporary homes while maintaining the sanctity of the text.

In Islamic tradition, this verse is a go-to prayer for safety. Gifting it to someone starting a new journey, business, or home is a way of wishing them the highest form of security. It is prestigious because it offers both high-end artistic beauty and a lifetime of spiritual grounding for the recipient.

Every 'harakat' (vowel mark) and diacritical point is meticulously verified against the original Uthmani script by master designers. This ensures that the artisan work remains 100% faithful to the Qur'anic text, providing peace of mind that the art is as spiritually sound as it is visually stunning.

No. The engineering is completely seamless. Each piece features a hidden hanging system on the reverse side. This allows for a "gallery look" where the hardware remains entirely invisible, ensuring the viewer's focus stays exclusively on the beauty of the Divine words.

Maintenance is intentionally minimal to preserve the artisan finish. A simple dusting with a soft, dry microfiber cloth once a month is usually all that is required. By avoiding harsh chemicals or wet cleaning, the luster and crispness of the 3D calligraphy remain gallery-new for decades.
