The greeting, in full

Two matched pieces, one greeting, two meters wide

As-Salamu Alaykum Wa-Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuh cut from 1.5 mm steel and hung as two matched pieces. Two lengths, 140 cm and a full 200 cm.

Three decisions before it ships

  1. Size

Two lengths, 140 and 200 cm. The larger spans a three-seat sofa exactly — see the drawing below.

  2. Finish

Four matte finishes — gold, silver, copper or black.

  3. Hanging

Two pieces on one shared line, so measure once on the floor rather than twice on the wall.

What is written on it

As-Salamu Alaykum Wa-Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuh

The greeting in full rather than the short form, which is why the piece runs as long as it does.

السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته

“Peace be upon you as well, and the mercy of God and His blessings.”

Size & scale

This is the longest piece in the range

At 200 cm the larger size is as wide as a three-seat sofa, so what it needs is a genuinely clear run of wall. Both are drawn below at true scale.

Three-seat sofa · 200 cm (79 in) wide, 82 cm (32 in) high L · 200 × 36 cm 78.7 × 14.2 in M · 140 × 25 cm 55.1 × 9.8 in
SizeWidth × height (in)Width × height (cm)Best for
M55.1 × 9.8″140 × 25 cmAbove a sideboard, a dining table, or a wide console
L78.7 × 14.2″200 × 36 cmA full entrance or hallway wall, or above a three-seat sofa

Match it to the furniture, not the wall. A low horizontal piece looks right when it spans roughly two thirds of whatever sits beneath it. Run painter's tape to the full width first and look at it from where you normally sit.

Craft

The depth is structural, not printed

The script is cut clean through the steel and split across two pieces, so the wall color runs through the whole greeting and holds it together as one line.

  • Letterforms cut clean through, so the wall color becomes part of the artwork
  • Electrostatic powder coating, baked on for a hard, even surface
  • No odour and no harmful substances

A coating that is baked, not sprayed. Powder is applied electrostatically and then cured, which gives a harder and more even surface than a sprayed paint and holds its color without yellowing.

Finishes

The finishes

All four are matte, which keeps a piece this long from competing with everything else on the wall.

As-Salamu Alaykum metal calligraphy art in matte gold

Matte Gold

Powder coated. Warmth without shine, which suits a room lit mostly by lamps rather than daylight.

As-Salamu Alaykum metal calligraphy art in black

Black

The sharpest contrast of the set against a pale wall, and the one that reads most clearly from across a room.

As-Salamu Alaykum metal calligraphy art in matte silver

Matte Silver

Powder coated. Cool and quiet, and the easiest to place in a room that already has chrome or glass in it.

As-Salamu Alaykum metal calligraphy art in matte copper

Matte Copper

Powder coated. The warmest of the matte finishes, and the one that reads best against green, clay or deep neutral walls.

Hanging it

Two pieces, one line

Two parts reading as one greeting means the gap between them matters more than either piece on its own.

  1. Lay the set out on the floor

Arrange every piece exactly as it should read on the wall, with even gaps, then measure the total width and the distance to each fixing.

  2. Mark one shared line

Pencil a single level line on the wall and put every fixing on it. That is what keeps the pieces reading as one composition.

  3. Tape the outline, then work across

Painter's tape to the full outline lets you check the whole arrangement before drilling. Hang from one end and work across, checking each piece against the line.

Where it goes

Where it goes

By the front door

The wall you pass on the way in and out — which is the point of the words on it.

Hallway and landing

A long, low piece suits a corridor, where it reads on the way past rather than asking you to stop.

Above a console

It spans a hallway console without crowding the ceiling above it.

Care

Keeping it as it arrived

Dry cloth only

A soft, dry cloth along the length of the script. A baked powder coat is harder than sprayed paint and takes dusting well.

No solvents

Alcohol, glass cleaner and polish will dull a matte surface. If a mark will not lift dry, use a barely damp cloth and dry it at once.

Damp resistant

The powder coat handles humidity better than a painted finish. Give it an indoor wall away from a bathroom or a kitchen extractor.

Choose your size and finish

Two sizes, and the finish is the rest of the decision. Tape the width on the wall first — it is the only measurement that matters.

Frequently Asked Questions

The phrase translates to 'Peace be upon you' and is a fundamental greeting in Islam that invokes Allah's name (As-Salam). According to Quranic teachings and the Sunnah, spreading 'Salam' is a way to foster love and brotherhood within a community. Displaying this art serves as a perpetual greeting and a reminder to maintain a peaceful, welcoming atmosphere for everyone who enters.

Yes, it is entirely permissible and can be a form of 'Da'wah' (inviting to good). It represents the peaceful nature of Islam to neighbors and guests. Many customers find it a beautiful bridge for conversation. As with all sacred script, the primary requirement is 'Adab'—ensuring the art is hung in a clean, high place where it is treated with the dignity it deserves.

Our mirror finishes (Gold and Silver) are highly reflective, adding a sense of light and 'Nur' (radiance) to your room. They are perfect for formal spaces. The matte finish (Black) provides a bold, contemporary look that prioritizes legibility and fits seamlessly into modern minimalist decor. Both finishes use our premium Turkish electro-coating to ensure a rust-resistant, high-end look.

Our metal art is engineered to be sturdy yet lightweight for easy installation. Most 'Salam' pieces weigh between 2 and 5 pounds depending on the size chosen. We provide specialized mounting hardware that allows the piece to sit slightly away from the wall, creating a beautiful floating 3D shadow effect that enhances the calligraphy's depth.

Absolutely. It is a wonderful way to bring 'Barakah' (blessings) into your professional life and signal your values to clients and colleagues. In a workspace, it serves as a reminder to conduct business with integrity and peace. We recommend choosing a size that fits the professional setting—large for a reception area or medium for a personal office.

While both materials are high quality, our metal art is specifically recommended for entryways because the electro-coating process provides extra durability against the temperature changes and humidity common near front doors. Metal also allows for finer, more intricate cutouts in the calligraphy, which makes a striking first impression for guests.

Yes, we use the traditional Arabic script verified by expert calligraphers in Turkey. We ensure the spelling and the 'Haraka' (vowel markings) are 100% accurate. You can trust that our art reflects the sacred language exactly as it appears on the available sources, preserving both the aesthetic and the spiritual integrity of the message.

Mirror finishes require gentle care. Use a soft, dry microfiber cloth to lightly wipe away fingerprints or dust. Never use abrasive pads or harsh chemicals, as these can micro-scratch the surface over time. Approaching the cleaning of your 'Salam' sign with 'Wudu' (ablution) and care turns a simple task into an act of respect for the greeting.

We produceo our pieces at our facility in Turkey. Following production, we use express shipping to deliver your art in 3-7 business days. With over 27,000 successful orders, our logistics are fine-tuned to get your art to you safely and quickly, no matter where you are in the world.

Our 6,000+ positive reviews reflect our commitment to customer satisfaction and the honor we feel in serving the global Muslim community.

The screws in the metal wall art are for the hanging bracket on the back and for the blind feet to provide a 3D view. Never attempt to remove them.

Yes, it can be done. First, confirm with customer service whether this is possible. If our designer approves, you will receive a custom order payment link.
