Ramadan Kareem, on the napkin

A napkin ornament carrying the greeting

A napkin ornament carrying the greeting, 13 × 8 cm. It comes as a set of 6 or 12 or 24 of the same piece — one per place at the table.

Four decisions before it ships

  1. What it is

A napkin ornament carrying the greeting. It sits on the folded napkin at each place, or holds it closed.

  2. Size

One size, 13 × 8 cm — that is one piece, not the set.

  3. Finish

Three finishes. The piece is the same in each; what changes is how much it lifts off the cloth.

  4. How many

It comes as a set of 6 or 12 or 24 of the same piece — one per place at the table.

Size on the table

How big is one of them?

13 × 8 cm for one piece. It is drawn below beside a coffee mug, at the same scale — a set is this, six or twelve times over.

Coffee mug · 9 cm (3.5 in) wide, 10 cm (3.9 in) high One size · 13 × 8 cm 5.1 × 3.1 in
SizeWidth × height (in)Width × height (cm)Best for
One size5.1 × 3.1″13 × 8 cmOne piece, at each place

The size is one piece. Every figure here is a single ramadan kareem. A set of 6 or 12 or 24 is that piece repeated, so the space it takes on the table is this multiplied by the number of places you are laying.

Craft

How it is made

It sits on the folded napkin at each place, or holds it closed.

  • Cut from steel, then powder painted — the color is cured onto the metal rather than sprayed over it
  • Cut right through, so the script reads as light rather than as print
  • Powder paint is the harder of the two metal finishes, which is why it is the one used where a piece is handled every day

On the powder paint. Powder paint goes on dry and is cured with heat, so it bonds to the steel instead of sitting on it. On a piece that gets picked up at every meal through Ramadan, that is the difference between a finish that lasts a season and one that lasts years.

Finishes

The finishes

Three finishes of the same cut piece.

ramadan kareem, on the napkin in gold

Gold

Warm and bright, and the one that reads best against off-white and cream walls.

ramadan kareem, on the napkin in black

Black

The sharpest contrast of the set against a pale wall, and the one that reads most clearly from across a room.

ramadan kareem, on the napkin in silver

Silver

Cool and quiet, and the easiest to place in a room that already has chrome or glass in it.

Using it

Setting the table

A table set for iftar is laid once and cleared every night for a month. These three habits are what survive that.

  1. Lay it once, before the first night

Set one at every place and leave the setting alone for the month. The point of a set is that the table is already laid when the adhan comes.

  2. Clear it with the cloth, not the plates

It goes back in its box rather than into the washing-up bowl. That single habit is most of why a set survives a whole Ramadan.

  3. Turn the script toward the guest

The piece is cut to be read from the seat, not from the head of the table.

Where it lives

Where it ends up

The iftar table, every night of Ramadan

This is what it is for: one at each place, from the first night to the last.

Eid, and the table after it

The same setting carries over — the greeting changes, the table does not.

Put away between years

Boxed and in a cupboard for eleven months. It is worth keeping the box it came in for exactly that.

Care

Keeping it as it arrived

A dry cloth, nothing wet

Water sits in a cut edge. Dry it at once if it is wiped damp.

No cleaners

Alcohol and glass cleaner both attack a painted metal surface.

Away from the dishwasher

A table piece rather than a dish. Heat and detergent are what take a painted finish off.

Frequently Asked Questions

"Ramadan" is the sacred ninth month of the Islamic calendar, a time of fasting and reflection. "Kareem" translates to "Generous" or "Noble." Together, this greeting recognizes the month as a period of divine generosity, where the rewards for worship, charity, and good deeds are believed to be multiplied.

Welcoming the month with intentional decor serves as a "spiritual wake-up call" for the household. It transforms your living space into a sanctuary of worship, helping to sustain the energy of fasting and prayer from the first day through to the night of Laylat al-Qadr.

Displaying these pieces in high-traffic areas like the dining room or lounge makes the month's sacred status a central focus. It encourages children and guests to feel the excitement of the season and serves as a constant prompt for Dhikr (remembrance) during the long hours of fasting.

For children, spiritual concepts can feel abstract. Having physical symbols like the crescent moon or "Ramadan Kareem" calligraphy makes the faith "tangible." It creates positive, joyful associations with the holy month and teaches the virtue of Sabr (patience) as they count down the days to Eid.

Exchanging gifts during this month strengthens the bonds of the community. Gifting a piece of calligraphy is a gesture of wishing the recipient spiritual vitality and a "Generous Ramadan," making it a meaningful alternative to traditional gifts.

Our wall art pieces are meticulously crafted using acrylic, wood and metal material. For the premium finish, we apply a 1.2 mm shiny gold or silver acrylic coating, or paint coating for the metal designs.

Yes. All of our wall art and tabletop decor items come fully assembled and ready to display. Wall-mounted pieces include pre-installed hanging hardware, while tabletop models are designed to be freestanding for immediate placement on your Iftar table or mantle.

To preserve the "mirror-effect" luster, we recommend using only a dry, soft microfiber cloth. It is important to avoid water, alcohol, or any chemical cleaners, as these can damage the finish. Additionally, avoid touching the glossy surfaces directly to prevent fingerprints.

Yes. As a Turkey-based manufacturer, we produce our decor to high quality standards using laser-cut metal, acrylic, and wood. These materials are chosen for their durability, ensuring that your Ramadan decorations remain a "seasonal heirloom" that looks brand new every year.

To suit various home aesthetics, our collection is primarily available in Black Paint, Gold Acrylic, and Silver Acrylic for wooden designs. The metallic finishes capture Black, Gold, Silver and Copper designed to catch and reflect the ambient light of your home, creating a luminous glow during evening Iftar gatherings.
