Surah Al-Qasas 24

The dua of Musa, as a column

Surah Al-Qasas Verse 24 cut from 1.5–2 mm steel as a tall column, standing 2 cm clear of the wall on its screws. Two sizes, 13 × 50 cm or 25 × 99 cm.

Two decisions before it ships

  1. Size

    Two sizes — 13 × 50 cm or 25 × 99 cm — drawn to scale against a sofa below.

  2. Hanging

One or two nails through the bracket on the back, and the screws set the 2 cm standoff.

What is written on it

The dua made with nothing left

My Lord, I am in need of whatever good You send me — the dua Musa made sitting in the shade with nothing in his hands.

رَبِّ إِنِّى لِمَآ أَنزَلْتَ إِلَىَّ مِنْ خَيْرٍۢ فَقِيرٌۭ

Rabbi innee limaaa anzalta ilaiya min khairin faqeer

“My Lord, indeed I am, for whatever good You would send down to me, in need.”

Surah Al-Qasas 28:24

Size & scale

A column is judged on its drop

Each size is close to four times taller than it is wide, which is what makes it work beside a doorway or on a stair wall. Both are drawn below at true scale.

Three-seat sofa · 200 cm (79 in) wide, 82 cm (32 in) high XL · 25 × 99 cm 9.8 × 39 in L · 13 × 50 cm 5.1 × 19.7 in
SizeWidth × height (in)Width × height (cm)Best for
L5.1 × 19.7″13 × 50 cmBeside a doorway, or on a narrow hallway wall
XL9.8 × 39″25 × 99 cmA stair wall or a tall living-room wall — the size most chosen

Mark it before you choose. Run painter's tape on the wall to the outer width and height, then stand back to where you normally sit and look at it from there. On a tall piece, hang it with its middle around 150 cm from the floor and the drop does the rest.

Craft

Two ways of finishing one cut

The column is cut from steel and then finished one of two ways: an electrostatic powder coat for the matte tones, or a shiny coating for the polished ones. Screws hold it 2 cm proud of the wall.

  • The verse cut as a single narrow column
  • Letterforms cut clean through, so the wall color becomes part of the artwork
  • Electrostatic powder coating, baked on for a hard, even surface
  • No odour and no harmful substances

A coating that is baked, not sprayed. Powder is applied electrostatically and then cured, which gives a harder and more even surface than a sprayed paint and holds its color without yellowing.

Hanging it

Mark a plumb line, not a height

A narrow vertical lives on its vertical. Pencil a plumb line rather than measuring in from a corner, then set the screws to it.

  1. Mark the center line

A tall, narrow silhouette lives or dies on its vertical. Pencil a plumb line rather than measuring in from a corner.

  2. Tape the height

Painter's tape to the full drop lets you judge it from across the room before drilling.

  3. Set the screws and hang

Screws hold it clear of the wall. Rest it on, check it sits flat, then confirm the vertical from a distance.

  • Screws set the standoff, so the depth is built into the mounting
  • Moisture and damp resistant once mounted
  • Ships ready to hang; no frame, glass or backing board to fit
  • Packed with corner protection for transit

Where it goes

The walls a column suits

By the front door

The wall you pass on the way in and out — which is the point of the words on it.

Hallway and landing

A long, low piece suits a corridor, where it reads on the way past rather than asking you to stop.

Above a console

It spans a hallway console without crowding the ceiling above it.

Care

Keeping it as it arrived

Dry cloth only

A soft, dry cloth along the length of the script. A baked powder coat is harder than sprayed paint and takes dusting well.

No solvents

Alcohol, glass cleaner and polish will dull a matte surface. If a mark will not lift dry, use a barely damp cloth and dry it at once.

Damp resistant

The powder coat handles humidity better than a painted finish. Give it an indoor wall away from a bathroom or a kitchen extractor.

Choose your size and finish

Two sizes, and the finish is the rest of the decision. Tape the outline on the wall first — it is the only measurement that matters.

Frequently Asked Questions

This verse is known as the 'Du'a of the Needy.' It teaches us how to ask Allah for help with perfect 'Adab' (etiquette). Instead of demanding a specific outcome, Musa (AS) simply declared his total dependence on Allah's goodness. It is a powerful reminder that admitting our own weakness before the Creator is the fastest key to unlocking His doors of 'Khayr' (goodness).

It fosters a culture of 'Tawakkul' (reliance). In times of financial stress, career uncertainty, or personal loneliness, looking at this verse anchors the heart. It shifts the focus from what you lack to the Infinite Provider who can change your circumstances in an instant, just as He did for Musa (AS).

While it suits any clean space, it is deeply impactful in personal offices, bedrooms, or near an entryway. Many people choose to place it where they can see it during their quietest moments of reflection, serving as a dignified focal point that encourages constant, humble communication with Allah.

We use high-grade steel and specialized powder coatings that provide a rich, multi-dimensional texture. Unlike flat decals, these pieces have physical depth—the Arabic letters are precision-cut and hand-finished in brushed gold, polished silver, or matte black. This creates a sophisticated interplay of light and shadow on your wall.

Our detailed technique ensures the calligraphy 'floats' slightly off the wall. This depth doesn't just add luxury; it makes the sacred text feel alive. As natural or ambient light in your room changes throughout the day, the piece casts soft, moving shadows that emphasize the fluid curves of the Arabic script.

Every piece is treated with an anti-tarnish and moisture-resistant finish. Whether you live in a humid coastal area or a dry climate, the metal is engineered to resist corrosion and fading. This ensures the prayer remains a pristine, vibrant part of your home for decades.

Preserving the luster is simple: just use a dry, soft microfiber cloth for occasional dusting. We recommend avoiding wet wipes or chemical cleaners, as the specialized 3D coating is designed to maintain its brilliance through minimal, dry care.

Gifting Musa’s (AS) prayer is a gesture of deep spiritual care. For a new couple or a recent graduate, it is a wish for Allah to open doors of goodness for them. It is a prestigious gift because it offers the recipient a lifelong spiritual tool for seeking Divine favor during life’s transitions.

Absolutely. Each design features an integrated, hidden hanging mechanism on the back. This allows the piece to be mounted securely with a single nail or screw, while keeping the hardware completely invisible to maintain the clean, 'floating' aesthetic on your wall.

Our master designers meticulously verify every vowel and diacritical mark against original Qur'anic texts. We blend the centuries-old heritage of Turkish calligraphy with modern industrial precision, ensuring that the piece is as spiritually accurate as it is artistically superior.

The screws in the metal wall art are for the hanging bracket on the back and for the blind feet to provide a 3D view. Never attempt to remove them.
