Darood Ibrahimi

Two rounds, an inner and an outer

Allahumma Salli and Allahumma Barik cut from 2 mm metal in two parts, brushed and polished, standing 1.5 cm clear of the wall. Three sizes up to 90 × 100 cm.

Three decisions before it ships

  1. Size

    Three sizes — 49 × 55, 70 × 78 or 90 × 100 cm — drawn to scale against a sofa below.

  2. Finish

Six combinations across polished gold, polished silver and black — the inner and the outer are chosen separately.

  3. Hanging

Two parts that assemble into one piece, then hang from a single nail through the bracket on the back.

What is written on it

The salawat, in full

The salawat said in every prayer, both halves of it: the asking of blessing on the Prophet and on his family, as it was asked for Ibrahim and his.

“Oh Allah, send grace and honor on Muhammad and the family and true followers of Muhammad just as you sent Grace and Honour on Ibrahim and on the family and true followers of Ibrahim. Surely, you are praiseworthy, the Great.”

Darood Ibrahimi — Allahumma Salli and Allahumma Barik

Size & scale

A round piece reads wider than its width

With no straight edge to sit against the wall, a round piece takes more of the eye than its measurement suggests. All three sizes are drawn below at true scale above a three-seat sofa.

Three-seat sofa · 200 cm (79 in) wide, 82 cm (32 in) high 2XL · 90 × 100 cm 35.4 × 39.4 in XL · 70 × 78 cm 27.6 × 30.7 in L · 49 × 55 cm 19.3 × 21.7 in
SizeWidth × height (in)Width × height (cm)Best for
L19.3 × 21.7″49 × 55 cmAbove a console or a mantel, or in a prayer corner
XL27.6 × 30.7″70 × 78 cmAbove a two- or three-seat sofa — the size most chosen
2XL35.4 × 39.4″90 × 100 cmA main living-room wall, read from across the room

Mark it before you choose. Run painter's tape on the wall to the outer width and height, then stand back to where you normally sit and look at it from there. On a tall piece, hang it with its middle around 150 cm from the floor and the drop does the rest.

Finishing

Craft

Brushed along the grain, then polished

The inner and the outer are cut separately and assembled on the wall, which is what lets the two carry different tones. At 2 mm the metal holds an open round shape, and the 1.5 cm standoff drops a shadow into the gap between the parts.

  • An inner and an outer part, assembled into one round
  • Letterforms cut clean through, so the wall color becomes part of the artwork
  • Brushed along the grain, then brought to its shine in a polishing bath
  • A reflection with depth rather than the flat look of a sprayed coating

On the shiny finishes. The shine is polished onto real metal rather than sprayed on, so the reflection carries depth. Because the polishing is a hand-run stage, each piece has its own character in the surface.

Finishes

The finishes

Six combinations. Matching the inner and outer reads as one object; contrasting them brings the script forward of its surround.

Allahumma Salli and Barik shiny metal wall art in in shiny gold out shiny silver

In Shiny Gold Out Shiny Silver

Brushed and electropolished. Gold script within a silver outline. The calligraphy comes forward and the frame stays back.

In Shiny Silver Out Shiny Gold

Brushed and electropolished. The reverse. The outline leads, and the script sits cool inside it.

Allahumma Salli and Barik shiny metal wall art in in shiny silver out black

In Shiny Silver Out Black

Brushed and electropolished. The script in shiny silver inside a black surround, so the calligraphy carries the eye and the frame holds back — the shiny silver lifts a wall that sits away from a window.

In Shiny Gold Out Black

Brushed and electropolished. The script in shiny gold inside a black surround, so the calligraphy carries the eye and the frame holds back — the shiny gold throws the most light back into the room.

Allahumma Salli and Barik shiny metal wall art in full shiny gold

Full Shiny Gold

Brushed and electropolished. Both parts in gold. The warmest of the four, and the one that reads best against a dark or deep-toned wall.

Allahumma Salli and Barik shiny metal wall art in full shiny silver

Full Shiny Silver

Brushed and electropolished. Both parts in silver. Cooler and quieter, and the easiest to place in a room that already has chrome or glass in it.

Hanging it

One nail, once the two parts are together

A circle has no top edge to level against, so put the two parts together first, mark the center, and hang to that.

  1. Find the center, not the top

A circle has no top edge to level against, so mark the center point on the wall — about 150 cm up — and hang to that.

  2. Tape the diameter first

Painter's tape across the full width shows how much wall it will take. A circle reads larger than a rectangle of the same width.

  3. Hang and step back

Hook it on, then walk to the far side of the room. A circle sitting slightly off-center shows more than a rectangle hung slightly crooked.

  • Mounting bracket already fitted to the back
  • Assembly tools included
  • Ships ready to hang; no frame, glass or backing board to fit
  • Packed with corner protection for transit

Where it goes

The walls it was sized for

Above a console or mantel

A circle centers on a wall without needing clear width either side, which is what makes it work over furniture.

The prayer corner

It sits at standing eye level and holds its shape when seen from an angle.

Stairwell and entry

A round piece carries a tall, awkward wall better than a rectangle, because there is no edge to fight the staircase line.

Care

Keeping it as it arrived

Along the grain

A soft, dry microfibre cloth moving in the direction of the brushing. Lift it by the edges when you move it.

No cleaners

Alcohol, glass cleaner and polish will cut into a polished metal surface. A barely damp cloth, dried at once, lifts anything a dry cloth will not.

Away from damp

An indoor piece. Keep it off bathroom walls and away from a kitchen extractor, where steady humidity dulls a polished finish.

Choose your size and finish

Sizes to suit the wall, and the finish is the rest of the decision. Tape the diameter first — it is the only measurement that matters.

Frequently Asked Questions

This phrase represents 'Durood' (salutations) upon the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). 'Salli' asks Allah to bestow mercy and honor, while 'Barik' asks for eternal blessings. According to Islamic tradition, reciting these words is a primary way to draw closer to Allah and earn the intercession of the Prophet. Having it on your wall creates an environment of constant 'Salawat.'

Yes, it is highly encouraged as a form of 'Dhikr' (remembrance). Scholars from the Islamic Bulletin explain that displaying such calligraphy serves as a visual reminder for the household to send blessings upon the Prophet throughout the day. It is considered a virtuous act that brings 'Barakah' (divine blessing) into the living space.

The most appropriate locations are the living room, a home prayer area (Musallah), or a workspace. These are places where you spend significant time and can benefit from the reminder. Always ensure the art is placed at a high level on the wall, away from floors or areas of impurity, to maintain the 'Adab' (etiquette) due to the Prophet's name.

Turkey has a centuries-old heritage of Islamic calligraphy and metalworking. By manufacturing in our Turkish workshop, we ensure that every piece of 'Durood' art is crafted by experts who understand the spiritual and technical nuances of Arabic script. This results in a level of precision and beauty that mass-produced alternatives cannot match.

No, our metal pieces undergo a specialized electro-coating process. This creates an industrial-grade, rust-resistant barrier that is much more durable than standard paint. Whether you live in a coastal area or a humid city, your art will maintain its pristine finish and brilliant color without tarnishing over time.

Production times vary by material: 2-3 days for wood and 5-6 days for metal. Once crafted in Turkey, we ship via express delivery, which typically takes 3-5 business days to reach your door. We provide 24/7 expert support and tracking so you can follow the journey of your sacred art.

Absolutely. We take the responsibility of displaying sacred text very seriously. Every design is carefully reviewed against the Uthmani script and classical calligraphy rules found. We ensure that every letter and vowel mark is perfectly placed to preserve the integrity of the prayer.

Certainly. Mixing textures can create a beautiful, multi-dimensional aesthetic. Many customers pair our 3D wooden 'Allahumma Salli' with a metal 'Allahumma Barik' to distinguish the two parts of the prayer. Both materials are designed with a consistent design language to ensure they complement each other perfectly.

Cleaning your art can be a mindful act of devotion. We recommend using a soft, dry microfiber cloth to gently remove dust. Avoid using water or chemicals, as they are unnecessary for our premium finishes. Handling the piece with 'Wudu' (ablution) while cleaning is a beautiful way to maintain the spiritual sanctity of the home.

IWA offers a unique combination of high-quality Turkish manufacturing and a deep understanding of Islamic values. With over 27,000 orders and 6,000 positive reviews, we are a trusted authority. Our 24/7 support team is always available to help you choose a piece that resonates with your home’s spiritual atmosphere.

The screws in the metal wall art are for the hanging bracket on the back and for the blind feet to provide a 3D view. Never attempt to remove them.

Metal products can be used outdoors, but are not recommended for direct rain, moisture or sunlight.
