Ayat al-Kursi, with tezhip

The verse, inside an illuminated border

Ayat al-Kursi printed onto 1.5–2 mm steel with a tezhip border in gold or silver, 60 cm across, standing 2 cm clear of the wall.

Three decisions before it ships

  1. Size

One size, 60 cm across, drawn to scale against a sofa below.

  2. Finish

Two colorways — gold or silver.

  3. Hanging

Three screws on one line, with the brackets already fitted behind the piece.

What is written on it

The Throne Verse, illuminated

The verse recited for protection, set inside tezhip — the illumination tradition that frames a text rather than competing with it.

“Allah! There is no deity except Him, the Ever-Living, the Sustainer of [all] existence. Neither drowsiness overtakes Him nor sleep. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. Who is it that can intercede with Him except by His permission? He knows what is [presently] before them and what will be after them, and they encompass not a thing of His knowledge except for what He wills. His Kursi extends over the heavens and the earth, and their preservation tires Him not. And He is the Most High, the Most Great.”

Surah Al-Baqarah 2:255

Size & scale

A circle reads wider than its measurement

With no straight edge to sit against the wall, a circle takes more of the eye than its width suggests. Drawn below at true scale above a three-seat sofa.

Three-seat sofa · 200 cm (79 in) wide, 82 cm (32 in) high One size · 60 × 60 cm 23.6 × 23.6 in
SizeWidth × height (in)Width × height (cm)Best for
One size23.6 × 23.6″60 × 60 cmAbove a console or a mantel, in a hallway, or in a prayer corner

Mark it before you choose. Run painter's tape on the wall to the outer width and height, then stand back to where you normally sit and look at it from there. On a tall piece, hang it with its middle around 150 cm from the floor and the drop does the rest.

Craft

Printed, because tezhip is painting

Tezhip is painted illumination, so this one is printed rather than cut: the border keeps its color and detail, and the steel behind it keeps the disc flat and heavy on the wall.

  • UV printed onto 1.5–2 mm steel, then powder coated at the edge
  • The tezhip reproduced in its own colors, not reduced to a cut outline
  • Held 2 cm off the wall on brackets fitted behind the disc

Why printing, and not a cut. Tezhip is illumination — layered color and gold leaf. A cut sheet can only give you an outline of it, so the pattern is printed at full detail and the steel gives the piece its weight.

Finishes

The finishes

Two colorways. Gold reads warm against off-white and cream; silver stays cooler and suits a room that already has chrome or glass in it.

Ayatul Kursi tezhip UV printed metal circle in gold

Gold

Warm and bright, and the one that reads best against off-white and cream walls.

Ayatul Kursi tezhip UV printed metal circle in silver

Silver

Cool and quiet, and the easiest to place in a room that already has chrome or glass in it.

Hanging it

Three screws, one line

A circle has no top edge to level against, so mark the center first, then set the three screws to the bracket spacing on the back.

  1. Find the center, not the top

A circle has no top edge to level against, so mark the center point on the wall — about 150 cm up — and hang to that.

  2. Tape the diameter first

Painter's tape across the full width shows how much wall it will take. A circle reads larger than a rectangle of the same width.

  3. Hang and step back

Hook it on, then walk to the far side of the room. A circle sitting slightly off-center shows more than a rectangle hung slightly crooked.

  • Screws set the standoff, so the depth is built into the mounting
  • Packed with corner protection for transit

Where it goes

The walls a circle suits

Above a console or mantel

A circle centers on a wall without needing clear width either side, which is what makes it work over furniture.

The prayer corner

It sits at standing eye level and holds its shape when seen from an angle.

Stairwell and entry

A round piece carries a tall, awkward wall better than a rectangle, because there is no edge to fight the staircase line.

Care

Keeping it as it arrived

Dry cloth only

A soft, dry cloth along the length of the script. Lift the piece by its edges when you move it.

No cleaners

Alcohol, glass cleaner and polish will cut into a printed surface. A barely damp cloth, dried straight away, lifts anything a dry cloth will not.

Away from damp

An indoor piece. Keep it off bathroom walls and away from a kitchen extractor.

Choose your size and finish

Sizes to suit the wall, and the finish is the rest of the decision. Tape the diameter first — it is the only measurement that matters.

Frequently Asked Questions

Displaying Ayatul Kursi is widely considered permissible and is a virtuous practice for 'Dhikr' (remembrance). Scholars at the Islamic Bulletin suggest that hanging such verses helps transform a living space into a place of reflection. As long as the art is treated with 'Adab' (etiquette)—placed in a clean, elevated position and not near areas of impurity—it is a respected addition to any Muslim home.

Ayatul Kursi is known as the 'Verse of Protection.' Authentic narrations suggest that its recitation or presence serves as a spiritual shield against evil, anxiety, and harm. It describes Allah’s 'Kursi' (Throne) extending over the heavens and the earth, reminding the household that His guardianship is constant and effortless, bringing peace and 'Sakina' to the environment.

The most respectful locations are the living room, foyer, or a dedicated prayer space. Many choose to hang it near the main entrance so it is the first and last thing seen when entering or leaving the home. To maintain proper etiquette, ensure it is hung high on the wall, above shoulder level, and never in bathrooms or areas where it might be treated with low regard.

No, our metal pieces undergo a premium electro-coating process in Turkey. This industrial finish is far superior to standard paint or stainless steel, as it creates a chemical bond that is rust-resistant and durable. Whether you choose Gold, Silver, or Black, the finish will remain vibrant and will not tarnish or peel, even in humid climates.

Accuracy is our highest priority. Every piece is designed following the traditional Uthmani script found. Our expert calligraphers in Turkey meticulously verify every 'Nuqta' (dot) and 'Haraka' (vowel mark) to ensure the sacred text is perfectly preserved. This ensures your wall art is a faithful and religiously sound representation of Allah's word.

Handle the art with the same respect you would show a Mushaf. We recommend being in a state of 'Wudu' (ablution) when touching the sacred text. When cleaning, use a soft, dry microfiber cloth to gently remove dust without using chemicals. If you are moving, wrap the piece in a clean cloth and ensure it never touches the floor during the transition.

With 6,700+ customer reviews, IWA is a trusted authority in premium Islamic decor. We combine high-end Turkish manufacturing with a deep understanding of religious values. Every piece is a result of centuries-old craftsmanship traditions, ensuring that your Ayatul Kursi is not just a product, but a meaningful spiritual heirloom.

Production speed depends on the material. Either wood or metal, both types are produced in our Turkish workshop and shipped via express delivery to reach you within 3-7 business days.

Yes, it is common and permissible to hang Ayatul Kursi in a bedroom to bring a sense of safety and tranquility. In a child's nursery, it serves as a beautiful introduction to the power of Allah. Ensure it is mounted securely and at a height that remains out of reach of small children to protect both the art and the sanctity of the text.

You can explain that Ayatul Kursi is a 'Hymn of Divine Majesty.' It describes God's eternal nature, His absolute knowledge, and His throne that encompasses the entire universe. It is a verse of peace and protection that reminds Muslims that God never grows tired of watching over His creation, reflecting a universal message of hope and divine care.

The screws in the metal wall art are for the hanging bracket on the back and for the blind feet to provide a 3D view. Never attempt to remove them.
