Surah Ar-Ra’d, verse 11

Until they change what is in themselves

The line from Ar-Ra’d 11 cut from 1.5 mm metal in an electrostatic powder paint, standing 1.5 cm off the wall. Two lengths, 69 and 99 cm, in black or matte gold, silver or copper.

Three decisions before it ships

  1. Size

Two lengths, 69 or 99 cm wide, drawn to scale against a sofa below.

  2. Finish

Four matte colors in an electrostatic powder paint.

  3. Hanging

It ships ready, and the bracket holds it 1.5 cm off the wall.

What is written on it

The line itself

Allah will not change the condition of a people until they change what is in themselves. It is the line people buy for a study or an office rather than a living room.

“Indeed, Allah will not change the condition of a people until they change what is in themselves.”

Surah Ar-Ra’d 13:11

Size & scale

Measured against a sofa, not a photograph

Both sizes are around four times wider than they are tall, so the constraint is the clear run of wall. They are drawn below at true scale above a three-seat sofa.

Three-seat sofa · 200 cm (79 in) wide, 82 cm (32 in) high XL · 99 × 25 cm 39 × 9.8 in L · 69 × 17 cm 27.2 × 6.7 in
SizeWidth × height (in)Width × height (cm)Best for
L27.2 × 6.7″69 × 17 cmAbove a desk, a console, or a two-seat sofa
XL39 × 9.8″99 × 25 cmA study or living-room feature wall, above a sideboard

Match it to the furniture, not the wall. A low horizontal piece looks right when it spans roughly two thirds of whatever sits beneath it. Run painter's tape to the full width first and look at it from where you normally sit.

Craft

The depth is structural, not printed

The letterforms are cut clean through the metal, so the wall color shows between them. Mounted 1.5 cm proud, the gap throws a shadow that moves through the day.

  • Letterforms cut clean through, so the wall color becomes part of the artwork
  • Electrostatic powder coating, baked on for a hard, even surface
  • Cut edges left clean through the fine strokes of the script

A coating that is baked, not sprayed. Powder is applied electrostatically and then cured, which gives a harder and more even surface than a sprayed paint.

Finishes

The finishes

Four matte colors in the same electrostatic powder paint. Black reads as a silhouette against a pale wall; the metals stay flat rather than reflective.

Surah Ar-Ra’d verse 11 metal wall art in black

Black

The sharpest contrast of the set against a pale wall, and the one that reads most clearly from across a room.

Surah Ar-Ra’d verse 11 metal wall art in matte gold

Matte Gold

Powder coated. Warmth without shine, which suits a room lit mostly by lamps rather than daylight.

Surah Ar-Ra’d verse 11 metal wall art in matte silver

Matte Silver

Powder coated. Cool and quiet, and the easiest to place in a room that already has chrome or glass in it.

Surah Ar-Ra’d verse 11 metal wall art in matte copper

Matte Copper

Powder coated. The warmest of the matte finishes, and the one that reads best against green, clay or deep neutral walls.

Hanging it

One level line does the whole job

A narrow band shows a tilt more than a deep piece does, so mark the line rather than judging it by eye.

  1. Measure to the fixing first

Set it face up and measure from the left edge to each fixing point, so the wall marks come from the piece rather than from guesswork.

  2. Pencil one level line

A low, wide piece shows every degree of tilt, so mark a light horizontal line and put every fixing on it.

  3. Tape the width, then hang

Painter's tape to the full width lets you check the position from across the room before drilling.

Where it goes

Where it goes

Above the sofa

The wall this was designed for, spanning roughly two thirds of the seat beneath it.

Dining and console walls

A long, low piece sits naturally over a sideboard or a dining table, where a tall piece would crowd the ceiling.

Entryway and hallway

Cut work keeps a corridor from feeling closed in, because the wall reads through the letterforms.

Care

Keeping it as it arrived

Dry cloth only

A soft, dry cloth along the length of the script. A baked powder coat is harder than sprayed paint and takes dusting well.

No solvents

Alcohol, glass cleaner and polish will dull a powder-painted surface. If a mark will not lift dry, use a barely damp cloth and dry it at once.

Away from damp

An indoor piece. Keep it off bathroom walls and away from a kitchen extractor.

Choose your size and finish

Two sizes, and the finish is the rest of the decision. Tape the width on the wall first — it is the only measurement that matters.

Frequently Asked Questions

This verse is a call to 'Self-Accountability.' It teaches that while Allah is the ultimate controller of all affairs, He has linked the improvement of our outer circumstances to the purification of our inner states. It encourages the believer to take the first step toward change through repentance, intention, and effort, trusting that Divine support follows internal initiative.

It fosters a culture of 'Resilience' and 'Growth.' In a household, this verse acts as a silent coach, reminding everyone that they have the power to influence their destiny through their choices. It discourages a victim mindset and promotes a proactive approach to life’s challenges, centering the home on the principle of continuous self-improvement.

This piece is exceptionally powerful in personal offices, study areas, or hallways where it can be seen daily. Because it is a verse of action and motivation, placing it in a space where you make decisions or start your day provides a constant psychological and spiritual boost to pursue your goals with excellence.

Our Ar-Ra'd designs typically utilize a bold, horizontal 'Thuluth' script that emphasizes the strength and weight of the message. The composition is meticulously balanced so that the word 'Allah' and 'Yughayyiru' (Change) are visually prominent, creating a dignified focal point that reflects the transformative nature of the text.

We utilize a detailed 3D technique where the calligraphy is precision-cut from high-grade material and mounted to sit slightly off the wall. This 'floating' effect creates physical depth; as your room's lighting changes throughout the day, the art casts shifting shadows that make the sacred words appear to have a living, moving presence.

The piece is treated with high-luster, industrial-grade coatings—such as brushed gold, polished silver, or matte black. These finishes are anti-tarnish and moisture-resistant, ensuring that the regal appearance of the verse remains pristine and vibrant for decades without fading or wear.

To preserve the premium textures and sharp edges of the 3D calligraphy, a simple wipe with a dry, soft microfiber cloth is sufficient. Avoiding chemical cleaners or moisture ensures that the specialized finish stays vivid and clear for the lifetime of the piece.

Gifting Surah Ar-Ra'd 11 is a gesture of wishing someone the strength to shape their own future. It is a prestigious choice for those embarking on new journeys—like starting a business or moving to a new city—as it offers the recipient a permanent source of empowerment and a reminder that their success begins from within.

Yes. Our design features an integrated hanging system on the reverse side. This allows the piece to sit securely against the wall with a professional 'floating' look, keeping the focus entirely on the sacred calligraphy without visible or distracting hardware.

Our master designers in Turkey meticulously verify every vowel and 'harakat' (diacritical mark) to ensure 100% calligraphic accuracy. We bridge centuries of heritage with modern production standards to deliver a piece that is as spiritually sound as it is artistically superior.

The screws in the metal wall art are for the hanging bracket on the back and for the blind feet to provide a 3D view. Never attempt to remove them.
