Ayat al-Kursi, as a clock

A diamond of cut steel that also tells the time

Ayat al-Kursi laser-cut into a diamond of 1.5–2 mm steel, standing 2 cm clear of the wall, with a silent sweep movement. Two sizes, 64 × 67 cm or 90 × 95 cm.

Three decisions before it ships

  1. Size

    Two sizes — 64 × 67 cm or 90 × 95 cm — drawn to scale against a sofa below.

  2. Finish

Seven finishes: black, matte gold, silver or copper, and the same three polished.

  3. Hanging

It arrives assembled with the movement fitted, and hangs from a single nail through the hidden bracket.

Size & scale

A diamond needs the wall its corners reach

A diamond takes the full width and height of its box even though the corners are empty, so measure the box rather than the artwork. Both sizes are drawn below at true scale above a three-seat sofa.

Three-seat sofa · 200 cm (79 in) wide, 82 cm (32 in) high XL · 90 × 95 cm 35.4 × 37.4 in L · 64 × 67 cm 25.2 × 26.4 in
SizeWidth × height (in)Width × height (cm)Best for
L25.2 × 26.4″64 × 67 cmA kitchen, a hallway, or above a console — the size most chosen
XL35.4 × 37.4″90 × 95 cmA main living-room wall, read from across the room

Mark it before you choose. Run painter's tape on the wall to the outer width and height, then stand back to where you normally sit and look at it from there. On a tall piece, hang it with its middle around 150 cm from the floor and the drop does the rest.

Craft

Cut first, then made to keep time

The calligraphy is laser-cut through solid steel and the movement is fitted behind it, so the piece reads as artwork on the wall and only then as a clock. The movement is a silent sweep, so nothing ticks in a quiet room.

  • Laser-cut steel, with the movement fitted behind
  • Letterforms cut clean through, so the wall color becomes part of the artwork
  • Cut edges left clean through the fine strokes of the script
  • The weight and the edge of real metal rather than a printed panel

Why the cut matters. Because the script is cut out of the sheet rather than printed onto it, the wall behind becomes part of the artwork and the piece changes with the light in the room through the day.

Finishes

The finishes

Seven finishes across two surfaces. The matte options are hand-finished with an electrostatic powder that is moisture resistant and odourless; the polished ones throw light back into the room.

Diamond shaped Ayatul Kursi metal wall clock in shiny gold

Shiny Gold

The most reflective of the set and the one most often chosen for a main living-room wall.

Diamond shaped Ayatul Kursi metal wall clock in shiny silver

Shiny Silver

Throws light back into the room, so it lifts a wall that sits away from a window.

Diamond shaped Ayatul Kursi metal wall clock in shiny copper

Shiny Copper

Warmer than the gold and less common, and worth it if the room already has brass or wood tones.

Diamond shaped Ayatul Kursi metal wall clock in black

Black

The sharpest contrast of the set against a pale wall, and the one that reads most clearly from across a room.

Diamond shaped Ayatul Kursi metal wall clock in matte gold

Matte Gold

Warmth without shine, which suits a room lit mostly by lamps rather than daylight.

Diamond shaped Ayatul Kursi metal wall clock in matte silver

Matte Silver

Cool and quiet, and the easiest to place in a room that already has chrome or glass in it.

Diamond shaped Ayatul Kursi metal wall clock in matte copper

Matte Copper

The warmest of the matte finishes, and the one that reads best against green, clay or deep neutral walls.

Hanging it

One nail, on the center of the diamond

A diamond has no top edge to level against, so mark its center point and hang to that — then step back, because a diamond off-center shows more than a square hung crooked.

  1. Mark the center, not the top

Pencil a point about 150 cm up from the floor. On a tall, narrow piece a center that sits right forgives a top edge that does not.

  2. Tape the outline first

Painter's tape to the full width and height lets you check the position from across the room before you make a hole.

  3. Set one nail and hang

One nail carries it through the bracket on the back. Hook it on, level it by eye, then walk to the far side of the room to confirm.

  • Mounting bracket already fitted to the back
  • Moisture and damp resistant once mounted
  • Ships ready to hang; no frame, glass or backing board to fit
  • Packed with corner protection for transit

Where it goes

The walls a clock belongs on

Above a console or mantel

A circle centers on a wall without needing clear width either side, which is what makes it work over furniture.

The prayer corner

It sits at standing eye level and holds its shape when seen from an angle.

Stairwell and entry

A round piece carries a tall, awkward wall better than a rectangle, because there is no edge to fight the staircase line.

Against the alternatives

This pieceCommonly sold alternatives
MaterialCut metalPrinted canvas, acrylic sheet, or thin laser-cut board
DepthStands 2 cm off the wall and casts a shadowTypically sits flat against the wall
FinishesSeven to choose fromUsually one fixed color
SizesTwo, up to 90 cm wideOften a single fixed size
The textThe verse in full, and a clock that runs silentOften an excerpt rather than the whole text
HangingBracket pre-fitted, ready to hangFrame, hooks or backing board to fit yourself

Care

Keeping it as it arrived

Dry cloth only

A soft, dry cloth along the length of the script. Nothing abrasive.

No cleaners

Alcohol, glass cleaner and polish will mark a finished metal surface. A barely damp cloth, dried at once, is enough.

Away from damp

An indoor piece. Keep it off bathroom walls and away from a kitchen extractor.

Choose your size and finish

Two sizes and seven finishes. Tape the full diamond on the wall first — corners included, since that is the wall it takes.

Frequently Asked Questions

Displaying Ayatul Kursi is widely considered permissible and is a virtuous practice for 'Dhikr' (remembrance). Scholars at the Islamic Bulletin suggest that hanging such verses helps transform a living space into a place of reflection. As long as the art is treated with 'Adab' (etiquette)—placed in a clean, elevated position and not near areas of impurity—it is a respected addition to any Muslim home.

Ayatul Kursi is known as the 'Verse of Protection.' Authentic narrations suggest that its recitation or presence serves as a spiritual shield against evil, anxiety, and harm. It describes Allah’s 'Kursi' (Throne) extending over the heavens and the earth, reminding the household that His guardianship is constant and effortless, bringing peace and 'Sakina' to the environment.

The most respectful locations are the living room, foyer, or a dedicated prayer space. Many choose to hang it near the main entrance so it is the first and last thing seen when entering or leaving the home. To maintain proper etiquette, ensure it is hung high on the wall, above shoulder level, and never in bathrooms or areas where it might be treated with low regard.

No, our metal pieces undergo a premium electro-coating process in Turkey. This industrial finish is far superior to standard paint or stainless steel, as it creates a chemical bond that is rust-resistant and durable. Whether you choose Gold, Silver, or Black, the finish will remain vibrant and will not tarnish or peel, even in humid climates.

Accuracy is our highest priority. Every piece is designed following the traditional Uthmani script found. Our expert calligraphers in Turkey meticulously verify every 'Nuqta' (dot) and 'Haraka' (vowel mark) to ensure the sacred text is perfectly preserved. This ensures your wall art is a faithful and religiously sound representation of Allah's word.

Handle the art with the same respect you would show a Mushaf. We recommend being in a state of 'Wudu' (ablution) when touching the sacred text. When cleaning, use a soft, dry microfiber cloth to gently remove dust without using chemicals. If you are moving, wrap the piece in a clean cloth and ensure it never touches the floor during the transition.

With 6,700+ customer reviews, IWA is a trusted authority in premium Islamic decor. We combine high-end Turkish manufacturing with a deep understanding of religious values. Every piece is a result of centuries-old craftsmanship traditions, ensuring that your Ayatul Kursi is not just a product, but a meaningful spiritual heirloom.

Production speed depends on the material. Either wood or metal, both types are produced in our Turkish workshop and shipped via express delivery to reach you within 3-7 business days.

Yes, it is common and permissible to hang Ayatul Kursi in a bedroom to bring a sense of safety and tranquility. In a child's nursery, it serves as a beautiful introduction to the power of Allah. Ensure it is mounted securely and at a height that remains out of reach of small children to protect both the art and the sanctity of the text.

You can explain that Ayatul Kursi is a 'Hymn of Divine Majesty.' It describes God's eternal nature, His absolute knowledge, and His throne that encompasses the entire universe. It is a verse of peace and protection that reminds Muslims that God never grows tired of watching over His creation, reflecting a universal message of hope and divine care.
