Hazrat Ali · Zulfiqar

The name and the sword, cut as one figure

Hazrat Ali's name in Arabic calligraphy above the crossed Zulfiqar, cut in wood with an acrylic face. Three square sizes, 30, 40 or 50 cm.

Two decisions before it ships

  1. Size

Three square sizes — 30, 40 or 50 cm — drawn to scale against a sofa below.

  2. Hanging

It arrives ready to hang, so the work is the center point and one level check.

Size & scale

A square is judged on the wall around it

A square needs clear wall on both sides to read properly, which is what decides the size rather than the wall’s width. All three are drawn below at true scale above a three-seat sofa.

Three-seat sofa · 200 cm (79 in) wide, 82 cm (32 in) high L · 50 × 50 cm 19.7 × 19.7 in M · 40 × 40 cm 15.7 × 15.7 in S · 30 × 30 cm 11.8 × 11.8 in
SizeWidth × height (in)Width × height (cm)Best for
S11.8 × 11.8″30 × 30 cmA study, a shelf wall, or a narrow hallway
M15.7 × 15.7″40 × 40 cmAbove a console or a desk — the size most chosen
L19.7 × 19.7″50 × 50 cmA main living-room or prayer-room wall

Mark it before you choose. Run painter's tape on the wall to the outer width and height, then stand back to where you normally sit and look at it from there. On a tall piece, hang it with its middle around 150 cm from the floor and the drop does the rest.

Craft

Two tones in one cut figure

The name is carried in one tone and the crossed blades in another, so the two read apart at a glance and together from across the room. Both are cut and layered rather than printed, which is where the depth comes from.

  • The name and the blades cut as separate layers
  • Cut and layered so the calligraphy sits forward of the panel behind it
  • Wood and acrylic combined, each carrying its own depth and grain
  • Edges finished clean, with no visible fixings on the face

On wood and acrylic. Layering the two materials is what gives the piece its depth: the acrylic carries the line of the calligraphy and the wood behind it gives the panel warmth and weight.

Hanging it

Center it, and check the level

A square with a straight edge shows a tilt that a cut silhouette hides, so this one is worth a level rather than an eye.

  1. Find the center of the wall

Mark the center point rather than measuring in from a corner — a layered panel wants to sit centered on the wall it occupies.

  2. Tape the outline first

Painter's tape to the full outline lets you judge the proportion from where you normally sit, before any fixing goes in.

  3. Hang and check the level

Hang it, then step back across the room. A panel with a straight top edge shows a tilt more readily than a cut silhouette does.

  • Ships ready to hang; no frame, glass or backing board to fit
  • Packed with corner protection for transit

Where it goes

The walls it suits

The prayer corner

The wall you face when you lay out the mat, at standing eye level rather than above it.

A hallway or landing

It reads on the way past, on a wall people walk by rather than sit in front of.

Above a console

A main living-room wall, centered on the furniture beneath rather than on the wall as a whole.

Care

Keeping it as it arrived

Dry cloth only

A soft, dry cloth. Wood and acrylic both mark with abrasives, so nothing scouring.

No solvents

Alcohol and glass cleaner will haze acrylic. If a mark will not lift dry, use a barely damp cloth and dry it at once.

Away from damp and direct sun

Wood moves with humidity and acrylic can warm in direct sunlight, so give it an interior wall out of the midday light.

Choose your size and finish

Three sizes, and the finish is the rest of the decision. Tape the outline on the wall first — it is the only measurement that matters.

Frequently Asked Questions

The Zulfiqar is the most famous sword in Islamic history, famously gifted by the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) to his cousin and son-in-law, Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib, during the Battle of Uhud. It is a symbol of divinely granted strength and the valor required to stand for truth in the face of adversity.

It translates to "There is no hero like Ali, and no sword like Zulfiqar." This phrase is often integrated into the artwork itself. It serves as a reminder that true heroism is found in character and faith, and that the Zulfiqar is the ultimate tool for upholding justice.

While some historical accounts suggest it was a design for disarming opponents, the spiritual interpretation is more profound: the two points represent 'Al-Furqan'—the ability to clearly distinguish between right and wrong, and truth and falsehood. It symbolizes a sharp, decisive intellect.

The artwork is engineered with a multi-layered approach that creates physical depth. By mounting the sword so it stands out from the base, the piece interacts with the light in the room. As the sun moves or lamps are turned on, the sword casts shifting shadows, giving the iconic silhouette a living, sculptural presence.

This design typically utilizes a bold 'Thuluth' script, often weaving the 'Kalima' or verses of protection directly into the body of the blade. The curves are meticulously balanced to ensure the sword feels majestic and authoritative, bridging the gap between a historical relic and a modern masterpiece.

The piece is mounted with specialized hidden spacers that hold it away from the wall. This 'floating' look removes the need for bulky traditional frames, allowing the sharp, iconic silhouette of the Zulfiqar to breathe. It creates a clean, minimalist look that fits perfectly in contemporary homes or offices.

It is the ultimate symbol of 'Quwwat' (strength) and 'Adl' (justice). Gifting the Zulfiqar is a way of wishing a household the strength to stand for truth and the protection of the Divine. Its sleek, premium finish makes it a sophisticated statement piece for those who value Islamic heritage and high-end design.

Every 'harakat' (vowel mark) and diacritical point is meticulously verified against the original Arabic script by master designers. This ensures that the artisan work remains 100% faithful to the sacred text, providing peace of mind that the art is as spiritually sound as it is visually stunning.

No. The engineering is completely seamless. Each piece features a hidden hanging system on the reverse side. This allows for a 'gallery look' where the hardware remains entirely invisible, ensuring the viewer's focus stays exclusively on the beauty and power of the Zulfiqar.

Maintenance is intentionally minimal to preserve the artisan finish. A simple dusting with a soft, dry microfiber cloth once a month is usually all that is required. By avoiding harsh chemicals or wet cleaning, the luster and crispness of the 3D finish remain gallery-new for decades.

Black MDF (coloured through, not painted), Gold Acrylic and Silver Acrylic

The wall art pieces are crafted from high-quality materials, including laser-cut MDF wood and acrylic. To maintain their appearance, avoid using water, alcohol, or chemicals. Clean the surfaces with a dry, soft cloth to preserve the finish. These materials ensure durability and a premium look suitable for long-term display.

Yes, all wall art pieces come fully assembled and ready to hang. They include pre-installed hanging hardware or nails or double-sided tapes for easy installation.

We do not recommend any chemical products. You can remove dust with a slightly damp cloth.
