Four words a house runs on, one to a square

Sabr, Shukr, Tawakkul and Dua cut from wood, one word to a square, in four sizes from 30 up to 60 cm. Black in a matte paint, or gold and silver in acrylic.

Three decisions before it ships

  1. Size

Four sizes per square — 30, 40, 50 or 60 cm — drawn to scale against a sofa below.

  2. Finish

Three finishes — black, gold acrylic or silver acrylic.

  3. Hanging

Four squares in a line, so the spacing is the work. A few nails carry the set.

Size & scale

The table is one square; the set is four of them

Each figure below is a single square. The drawing shows all four in a row at true scale, a finger-width apart, with the smaller sizes nested inside the end square — a row of four takes far more wall than one square suggests.

Three-seat sofa · 200 cm (79 in) wide, 82 cm (32 in) high · pieces drawn 2.5 cm apart 2XL · 60 × 60 cm each 24 × 24 in XL · 50 × 50 cm each 20 × 20 in L · 40 × 40 cm each 16 × 16 in M · 30 × 30 cm each 12 × 12 in
SizeWidth × height (in)Width × height (cm)Best for
M12 × 12″30 × 30 cmA hallway run, or above a worktop
L16 × 16″40 × 40 cmAbove a console or a sideboard — the size most chosen
XL20 × 20″50 × 50 cmA living-room wall, read from across the room
2XL24 × 24″60 × 60 cmA full feature wall, or a staircase landing

Tape the whole outline first. A set needs its total footprint marked, not each piece measured — run painter's tape around the full width and height, stand back to where you normally sit, and judge it from there.

Craft

Cut from the board, not printed on it

Each word is cut from MDF — 4 mm for the black squares, 5 mm where the gold or silver acrylic face is layered on. The letterforms stand off the board rather than sitting flat on it.

  • One word cut and layered on each square
  • Cut and layered so the calligraphy sits forward of the panel behind it
  • Wood and acrylic combined, each carrying its own depth and grain
  • Edges finished clean, with no visible fixings on the face

On wood and acrylic. Layering the two materials is what gives the piece its depth: the acrylic carries the line of the calligraphy and the wood behind it gives the panel warmth and weight.

Finishes

The finishes

Three finishes. The black is a matte static paint that stays flat against a pale wall; the gold and silver are acrylic faces that pick up the light.

Sabr Shukr Tawakkul Dua wooden square set in black

Black

The sharpest contrast of the set against a pale wall, and the one that reads most clearly from across a room.

Sabr Shukr Tawakkul Dua wooden square set in gold acrylic

Gold Acrylic

Warm and bright, and the one that reads best against off-white and cream walls.

Sabr Shukr Tawakkul Dua wooden square set in silver acrylic

Silver Acrylic

Cool and quiet, and the easiest to place in a room that already has chrome or glass in it.

Hanging it

Four squares, one line, even gaps

A row of four shows an uneven gap immediately. Lay them out on the floor in order, measure the gaps once, and transfer those numbers to the wall.

  1. Lay the set out on the floor

Arrange every piece exactly as it should read on the wall, with even gaps, then measure the total width and the distance to each fixing.

  2. Mark one shared line

Pencil a single level line on the wall and put every fixing on it. That is what keeps the pieces reading as one composition.

  3. Tape the outline, then work across

Painter's tape to the full outline lets you check the whole arrangement before drilling. Hang from one end and work across, checking each piece against the line.

Where it goes

Where the four go

Above the sofa

The wall this was designed for, spanning roughly two thirds of the seat beneath it.

Dining and console walls

A long, low piece sits naturally over a sideboard or a dining table, where a tall piece would crowd the ceiling.

Entryway and hallway

Cut work keeps a corridor from feeling closed in, because the wall reads through the letterforms.

Care

Keeping it as it arrived

Dry cloth only

A soft, dry cloth. Wood and acrylic both mark with abrasives, so nothing scouring.

No solvents

Alcohol and glass cleaner will haze acrylic. If a mark will not lift dry, use a barely damp cloth and dry it at once.

Away from damp and direct sun

Wood moves with humidity and acrylic can warm in direct sunlight, so give it an interior wall out of the midday light.

Choose your size and finish

Four square sizes and three finishes. Tape the whole row on the wall first — that is the only measurement that matters.

Frequently Asked Questions

These four concepts—Sabr (Patience), Shukr (Gratitude), Dua (Supplication), and Tawakkul (Trust)—encompass the entirety of a Muslim's internal state. Displaying them together serves as a holistic spiritual reminder: to remain steadfast, stay thankful, ask often, and ultimately leave the outcome to Allah.

This set utilizes a clean, minimalist approach to Arabic calligraphy. By stripping away excess ornamentation and focusing on the fluid silhouette of the letters, the design bridges the gap between ancient sacred script and contemporary interior design, making it a versatile fit for any modern home.

We employ a specialized multi-layered technique that gives each word physical depth. This 3D construction creates a sophisticated interplay of light and shadow on your wall; as the lighting in your room changes throughout the day, the calligraphy gains a dynamic sense of movement and dimension.

Each piece is treated with high-luster, specialized coatings designed to be both reflective and resilient. This professional finish is anti-tarnish and moisture-resistant, ensuring that the elegant colors—whether gold, silver, or black—retain their brilliance without fading over time.

While they can be placed in a single row or a square grid, many families display them in high-traffic areas like living rooms or entryways. Placing them in a sequence helps create a 'spiritual journey' through the room, inviting guests and residents to reflect on each virtue as they pass.

Absolutely. We prioritize structural integrity by using high-grade materials and precision-engineered joints. These pieces are designed to be heirlooms, maintaining their structural shape and elegant surface quality for decades as a permanent anchor for your home's atmosphere.

To preserve the premium finish and sharp edges of the calligraphy, we recommend a light dusting with a dry, soft microfiber cloth. Avoiding moisture or harsh cleaning chemicals will safeguard the delicate textures and ensure the reflective surfaces stay vivid and clear.

Gifting the pillars of Sabr, Shukr, Dua, and Tawakkul is a gesture of wishing a couple or family a balanced and blessed life. It is a prestigious gift that offers the recipient a complete spiritual toolkit for their new home, making it one of our most meaningful and highly-regarded gift options.

Yes. Each individual piece features a discreet, secure hanging mechanism on the reverse side. This allows for a clean, professional look on the wall without visible hardware, giving you the freedom to customize the spacing and arrangement to perfectly fit your wall's proportions.

Our master designers in Turkey carefully review every curve and dot to ensure the script is both artistically beautiful and linguistically correct. We bridge the heritage of Islamic penmanship with modern production standards to deliver a set that is spiritually authentic and artistically superior.

Black painted, Gold Acrylic and Silver Acrylic

The wall art pieces are crafted from high-quality materials, including laser-cut MDF wood and acrylic. To maintain their appearance, avoid using water, alcohol, or chemicals. Clean the surfaces with a dry, soft cloth to preserve the finish. These materials ensure durability and a premium look suitable for long-term display.

Yes, all wall art pieces come fully assembled and ready to hang. They include pre-installed hanging hardware or nails or double-sided tapes for easy installation.

We do not recommend any chemical products. You can remove dust with a slightly damp cloth.
