The First Kalima with Allah and Muhammad

Three pieces, sold together

The First Kalima with Allah and Muhammad, cut in 6 mm MDF with a 1.2 mm gold or silver acrylic face. Four sizes, from 20 × 30 cm up to 40 × 60 cm.

Three decisions before it ships

  1. Size

Four sizes, 20 × 30 up to 40 × 60 cm, drawn to scale against a sofa below.

  2. Finish

Three finishes — black paint, or gold or silver acrylic.

  3. Hanging

Three pieces, so the gaps between them are the work rather than the fixings. Ready to hang on delivery.

What is written on it

The declaration, with the two names

There is no god but Allah, Muhammad is the messenger of Allah — with the two names given their own pieces alongside it.

لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللهُ مُحَمَّدٌ رَسُولُ اللهِ

“There is no god but Allah, Muhammad is the messenger of Allah.”

Size & scale

The sizes the set is listed in

These are the four sizes offered. Because three pieces hang together, the wall you need is wider than any single figure below — lay the set out on the floor and measure the run before you mark anything.

Three-seat sofa · 200 cm (79 in) wide, 82 cm (32 in) high 2XL · 40 × 60 cm 15.7 × 23.6 in XL · 33 × 50 cm 13 × 19.7 in L · 27 × 40 cm 10.6 × 15.7 in M · 20 × 30 cm 7.9 × 11.8 in
SizeWidth × height (in)Width × height (cm)Best for
M7.9 × 11.8″20 × 30 cmA prayer corner or a narrow wall, three small pieces in a line
L10.6 × 15.7″27 × 40 cmAbove a console or a two-seat sofa — the size most chosen
XL13 × 19.7″33 × 50 cmA main living-room wall, read from across the room
2XL15.7 × 23.6″40 × 60 cmA stairwell or a full feature wall

Tape the whole outline first. A set needs its total footprint marked, not each piece measured — run painter's tape around the full width and height, stand back to where you normally sit, and judge it from there.

Craft

Wood behind, acrylic in front

Each piece is cut into a 6 mm MDF board and faced with a 1.2 mm shiny acrylic layer — 7 mm in total — so the script stands forward of the board rather than printed onto it.

  • Three pieces, each cut and layered the same way
  • Cut and layered so the calligraphy sits forward of the panel behind it
  • Wood and acrylic combined, each carrying its own depth and grain
  • Edges finished clean, with no visible fixings on the face

On wood and acrylic. Layering the two materials is what gives the piece its depth: the acrylic carries the line of the calligraphy and the wood behind it gives the panel warmth and weight.

Hanging it

Three pieces, one line, even gaps

Three pieces read as one composition when they share a level line and the gaps match. Set the spacing on the floor first — that is what the whole job comes down to.

  1. Lay the set out on the floor

Arrange every piece exactly as it should read on the wall, with even gaps, then measure the total width and the distance to each fixing.

  2. Mark one shared line

Pencil a single level line on the wall and put every fixing on it. That is what keeps the pieces reading as one composition.

  3. Tape the outline, then work across

Painter's tape to the full outline lets you check the whole arrangement before drilling. Hang from one end and work across, checking each piece against the line.

  • Ships ready to hang; no frame, glass or backing board to fit
  • Packed with corner protection for transit

Where it goes

Where the three go

The prayer corner

The wall you face when you lay out the mat, at standing eye level rather than above it.

A hallway or landing

It reads on the way past, on a wall people walk by rather than sit in front of.

Above a console

A main living-room wall, centered on the furniture beneath rather than on the wall as a whole.

Care

Keeping it as it arrived

Dry cloth only

A soft, dry cloth. Wood and acrylic both mark with abrasives, so nothing scouring.

No solvents

Alcohol and glass cleaner will haze acrylic. If a mark will not lift dry, use a barely damp cloth and dry it at once.

Away from damp and direct sun

Wood moves with humidity and acrylic can warm in direct sunlight, so give it an interior wall out of the midday light.

Choose your size and finish

Four sizes and three finishes. Lay the set out on the floor and measure the run before you mark the wall.

Frequently Asked Questions

The First Kalima is the 'Key to Jannah.' Scholars from the Islamic Bulletin note that its presence in a home creates an environment of 'Tawhid' (Oneness). It acts as a spiritual anchor, reminding the residents to align every action with the pleasure of Allah and the example of the Prophet (PBUH).

Yes, it is highly encouraged as a form of 'Dhikr' (remembrance). The key is 'Adab' (etiquette): it must be placed in a clean, elevated position, typically above eye level. It should never be placed near floors, in bathrooms, or in areas where it might be treated with disrespect.

No. Our metal pieces undergo a premium electro-coating process in Turkey. This industrial-grade finish creates a chemical bond that is rust-resistant and tarnish-proof. Whether you choose Gold, Silver, or Black, the finish is designed to maintain its brilliant, mirror-like luster for decades.

The most traditional and respectful locations are the living room foyer or a dedicated prayer space (Musallah). Hanging it near the entrance of the home is a powerful way to set the spiritual tone for everyone who enters, reminding them of the foundation of their faith.

Accuracy is treated as a sacred 'Amanah' (trust). Every piece is designed in Turkey and cross-referenced with the Uthmani. Master calligraphers meticulously verify every 'Nuqta' (dot) and 'Haraka' (vowel mark) to ensure the divine words are perfectly preserved.

Our wood art offers a warm, 3D organic feel that brings a traditional aesthetic. Our metal art features a sleek, high-end finish with industrial durability. Both materials are handcrafted in our Turkish workshop to ensure museum-quality standards.

Yes, it is common to hang it in a bedroom as a source of peace and a reminder to make the Kalima one's final thought before sleep. Ensure it is mounted securely and high on the wall to maintain the respect due to the declaration of faith.

Treat the art with the same respect as a Mushaf. We recommend using a soft, dry microfiber cloth to gently remove dust. Avoid water or chemical cleaners, as they are unnecessary for our premium finishes and could potentially dull the luster over time.

Our metal art is engineered to be sturdy yet lightweight. Most pieces are designed to be hung with a single nail. They often feature built-in spacers that allow the art to sit 1.5 cm away from the wall, creating a beautiful 3D shadow effect that adds depth to the script.

Turkey is the historical heart of Islamic calligraphy. By manufacturing in our Turkish workshop, we employ craftsmen who have inherited centuries of artistic tradition. This ensures that the proportions of every letter are aesthetically and scripturally perfect, a quality mass-produced items cannot match.

Black painted, Gold Acrylic and Silver Acrylic

The wall art pieces are crafted from high-quality materials, including laser-cut MDF wood and acrylic. To maintain their appearance, avoid using water, alcohol, or chemicals. Clean the surfaces with a dry, soft cloth to preserve the finish. These materials ensure durability and a premium look suitable for long-term display.

Yes, all wall art pieces come fully assembled and ready to hang. They include pre-installed hanging hardware or nails or double-sided tapes for easy installation.

We do not recommend any chemical products. You can remove dust with a slightly damp cloth.
