The ninety-nine names, around the hours

Calligraphy and hours on one steel face

The ninety-nine names, around the hours on a 2 mm painted steel face. Two sizes, 67 × 67 up to 90 × 90 cm.

Three decisions before it ships

  1. Size

Two sizes, 67 × 67 up to 90 × 90 cm, drawn to scale against a sofa below.

  2. Finish

Two finishes — black or white.

  3. Hanging

The hanging tools come in the box, and the hands are already on.

Size & scale

Two sizes, 67 × 67 up to 90 × 90 cm

The ladder runs from 67 × 67 cm up to 90 × 90 cm, and on a clock that is a legibility decision rather than a decorative one. Both are drawn below at true scale above a three-seat sofa.

Three-seat sofa · 200 cm (79 in) wide, 82 cm (32 in) high XL · 90 × 90 cm 35.4 × 35.4 in L · 67 × 67 cm 26.4 × 26.4 in
SizeWidth × height (in)Width × height (cm)Best for
L26.4 × 26.4″67 × 67 cmA study or a bedroom wall, read from a few steps away
XL35.4 × 35.4″90 × 90 cmA living-room wall, read from across the room

Mark it before you choose. Run painter's tape on the wall to the outer width and height, then stand back to where you normally sit and look at it from there. On a tall piece, hang it with its middle around 150 cm from the floor and the drop does the rest.

Craft

One printed steel face, with the movement behind it

The calligraphy, the numerals and the hour marks are UV printed onto one 2 mm painted steel face, with the movement fitted behind it. What you see is the print on the steel itself, with the movement working behind it.

  • A 2 mm painted steel face, cut as one piece
  • A 2 mm painted steel face with the artwork UV printed onto it
  • A quartz movement fitted behind the face, with Arabic numerals
  • Hanging tools supplied, so it goes up as it arrives

On the face. The calligraphy and the numerals are on one cut steel face rather than printed on a dial behind glass, which is why the piece reads as wall art that happens to tell the time.

Finishes

The finishes

The face and the movement are the same in every one; the finish is what decides whether the hands read against the wall behind or against the piece itself. The darker tones hold their contrast in a bright room; the metallics catch the light in a dim one.

The ninety-nine names Islamic wall clock in black

Black

The sharpest contrast of the set against a pale wall, and the one that reads most clearly from across a room.

The ninety-nine names Islamic wall clock in white

White

Reads quietly, and lets the cut line of the calligraphy do the work rather than the color.

Hanging it

One nail, and set the time first

Everything about hanging a clock is easy except reaching behind it afterwards, which is what the three steps are about.

  1. Pick the wall by where you look for the time

A clock is read from a doorway or a seat, not admired from across the room. Stand where you will actually look at it and choose that wall.

  2. One nail at hanger height

Measure from the top of the face to the fixing on the back, mark a light pencil line at that height, and set one nail on it.

  3. Set the hands before you hang it

Set the time with the piece face up on a table, then hang it. Reaching behind a mounted clock is how a hand gets bent.

Where it goes

Where it goes

A kitchen or a dining wall

The room a clock is checked in most, and the one where a piece this size still has a wall to itself.

A hallway or an entry

Read on the way out, which is the moment the time actually matters.

A study or an office wall

Behind the desk rather than in front of it, so it is glanced at rather than watched.

Care

Keeping it as it arrived

Dry cloth only

A soft, dry cloth on the face, and nothing abrasive on the painted steel.

Nothing wet

Water, alcohol and glass cleaner all mark painted steel, and none of them belong near a movement.

Lift it by the rim

Carry it by the edge of the face rather than by the hands or the numerals.

Choose your size and finish

Two sizes, one movement. Pick the size by the distance you will read it from, not by the wall — the jump from 67 × 67 to 90 × 90 is larger than it reads on a screen.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes, it is highly encouraged. Scholars from the Islamic Bulletin note that the Prophet (PBUH) said, 'Allah has ninety-nine names... he who learns them will enter Paradise.' Displaying them serves as a visual aid for memorization and reflection. As with all sacred script, they should be placed in a clean, elevated position to maintain proper 'Adab' (etiquette).

Having the 99 Names present creates an environment of 'Barakah' (blessings). Each name—such as Ar-Rahman (The Merciful) or Al-Razzaq (The Provider)—serves as a specific reminder of Allah's role in our lives. It transforms your home into a sanctuary that encourages 'Khushu' (tranquility) and continuous spiritual mindfulness for the whole family.

We take this responsibility with the utmost seriousness. Every one of the 99 Names is cross-referenced with the Uthmani script. Our expert calligraphers in Turkey meticulously verify every 'Nuqta' (dot) and 'Haraka' (vowel) to ensure that the Names are represented with 100% theological and linguistic integrity.

For a comprehensive 99 Names display, metal is often preferred due to its ability to hold intricate, fine-line calligraphy at a larger scale. Our metal pieces (ready in 5-6 days) feature a premium electro-coated finish that won't fade. However, our wooden sets (ready in 2-3 days) offer a beautiful 3D warmth that fits perfectly in traditional or rustic homes.

While the Names are traditionally listed in a specific sequence starting with Ar-Rahman, the primary goal is respect and remembrance. Most of our designs follow the traditional order to assist with recitation and memorization. The most important factor is ensuring the entire set is treated as a singular, sacred unit of art.

Despite their grand appearance, our metal art is engineered to be surprisingly lightweight. We use high-quality, thin-gauge steel that is strengthened through our Turkish manufacturing process. Most large sets can be safely mounted with standard hardware, sitting slightly off the wall to create a beautiful floating shadow effect.

No. Because we use an industrial-grade electro-coating process rather than simple spray paint, the finish is chemically bonded to the metal. This makes it resistant to rust, humidity, and tarnishing. Your 'Asma-ul-Husna' display will retain its brilliant, mirror-like luster for decades, serving as a multi-generational heirloom.

Because the 99 Names involve complex calligraphy, we recommend using a soft, dry microfiber cloth or a soft-bristle brush to gently remove dust from the crevices. Avoid all liquids or chemicals. Many customers find that cleaning the Names becomes a quiet moment of 'Ibada' (worship) as they reflect on each attribute they are cleaning.

Yes, this is a beautiful way to surround a child with the names of their Creator from a young age. It helps normalize 'Dhikr' in their environment. Just ensure the art is mounted securely and high enough to be out of reach of small hands, maintaining both safety and the respect due to the sacred text.

We ship your products in a couple of days once you place your order. After that, we use express worldwide shipping, which typically arrives in 3-7 business days. With over 6,000 five-star reviews, we have mastered the logistics of getting these large, sacred pieces to your door safely and efficiently.

Our Islamic Clock Wall Decors are makde out of either metal or wood, depending on the design.
