The Noble Hilya Sharif on Tempered Glass - Islamic Wall Art Decor is a rare masterpiece of Turkish calligraphy by Hasan Riza. This artwork, reflecting the Ottoman Empire era, is an unparalleled treasure for Muslim homes. The design follows the classical structure of Hilya-i Şerif, a deeply spiritual calligraphy artwork.

At the top, Besmele-i Şerif takes its honored place, signifying divine blessings. The centerpiece contains nine lines narrating the physical description of Prophet Muhammad, based on the words of Caliph Ali. In the corners, the names of the four Rightly-Guided Caliphs—Abu Bakr, Umar, Uthman, and Ali—are elegantly inscribed.

The lower section features five lines of the sacred Hilya text and the ketebe (scribe's signature), a mark of artistic excellence. Created using the UV print method, this calligraphy art on tempered glass ensures durability and intricate detailing. Perfect as a Ramadan gift or for Prayer Room Decor, this Noble Description of the Prophet is a timeless addition to any space.

The Noble Hilya Sharif

Printed onto a tall sheet of tempered glass

The Noble Hilya Sharif printed onto tempered glass. Two sizes, 35 × 50 up to 50 × 70 cm.

Two decisions before it ships

  1. Size

Two sizes, 35 × 50 up to 50 × 70 cm, drawn to scale against a sofa below.

  2. Hanging

A hanging part is fitted to the back and one nail carries it. It ships ready to hang.

Size & scale

Two sizes, 35 × 50 up to 50 × 70 cm

The ladder runs from 35 × 50 cm up to 50 × 70 cm, so the constraint is the clear height above the furniture. Both are drawn below at true scale above a three-seat sofa.

Three-seat sofa · 200 cm (79 in) wide, 82 cm (32 in) high XL · 50 × 70 cm 19.7 × 27.6 in L · 35 × 50 cm 13.8 × 19.7 in
SizeWidth × height (in)Width × height (cm)Best for
L13.8 × 19.7″35 × 50 cmA narrow wall beside a door, or a prayer corner
XL19.7 × 27.6″50 × 70 cmA feature wall, or a stairwell

Mark it before you choose. Run painter's tape on the wall to the outer width and height, then stand back to where you normally sit and look at it from there. On a tall piece, hang it with its middle around 150 cm from the floor and the drop does the rest.

Craft

Printed onto the glass, under the surface you touch

The artwork is printed directly onto the tempered glass, which is what lets it hold detail a cut piece cannot. The glass is produced as one piece.

  • The artwork printed onto the glass itself
  • The artwork printed directly onto the tempered glass, so it holds detail a cut piece cannot
  • Tempered glass, produced as a single piece
  • A hanging attachment fitted to the back, so nothing shows on the face

On printed tempered glass. The image is printed onto the glass and the glass is heat-treated, which is what lets a single sheet hang from one nail without a frame around it. The print sits under the surface you touch, so what you clean is glass.

Hanging it

One nail, and one level line

Glass wants the hanger measured rather than guessed, and it wants carrying by the edges. Both take a minute.

  1. Lay it face down and find the hanger

Set it on a towel, face down, and measure from the top edge to the metal hanging part. That one number is the whole job.

  2. Pencil one level line

Mark a light horizontal line at hanger height, centered on the furniture below rather than on the wall as a whole.

  3. One nail, then lift by the edges

Set a single nail on the line. Carry the panel by its edges — never by the calligraphy — and hook it on.

  • Mounting bracket already fitted to the back
  • Ships ready to hang; no frame, glass or backing board to fit
  • Packed with corner protection for transit

Where it goes

Where it goes

The prayer corner

The wall you face when you lay out the mat, where a single piece is read rather than looked at.

Above a console or a sideboard

It sits over a run of furniture as one object, without needing a second piece to balance it.

A hallway or a study wall

One piece suits the wall you pass or sit facing, where a set would be too much.

Against the alternatives

This pieceCommonly sold alternatives
MaterialTempered glass with the artwork printed on itA paper print behind window glass, or a printed acrylic sheet
SizesTwo, up to 50 cm wideOften a single fixed size
The textA hilya composition, reproduced rather than redrawnOften an excerpt rather than the whole text
HangingBracket pre-fitted, ready to hangFrame, hooks or backing board to fit yourself

Care

Keeping it as it arrived

Dry cloth only

A soft, dry cloth on the glass face. Nothing abrasive.

No ammonia or alcohol

Household glass cleaner attacks the print behind the glass. A barely damp cloth, dried at once, is enough.

Lift it by the edges

Glass is heavy for its size. Carry it by the edges rather than by the face.

Choose your size and finish

Two sizes, one construction. Tape the outline on the wall before you choose — the jump from 35 × 50 to 50 × 70 is larger than it reads on a screen.

Frequently Asked Questions

The Hilya serves as a visual Hadith. It allows believers to cultivate a deep, personal connection with the Prophet (PBUH) by contemplating his noble characteristics and physical description. It is a tool for Mahabba (love) and a reminder to follow his perfect example in daily life.

Yes. It is highly encouraged as it avoids forbidden imagery while honoring the Prophet (PBUH). Scholars note that the Hilya was historically used to invite blessings into a home. We follow scriptural accuracy and respect guidelines from the Islamic Bulletin to ensure the text remains sanctified.

The most respectful placement is in a clean, prominent location such as a living room or a private prayer space. It should be hung at an elevated level—ideally above eye level—to reflect the high status of the Prophet (PBUH) and ensure the sacred text is treated with dignity.

The Hilya contains dense, intricate calligraphy. Our electro-coating process in Turkey bonds the finish to the metal at a molecular level. This ensures that even the finest details of the script remain sharp and resistant to peeling or oxidation, preserving the portrait for generations.

The products require a production cycle in our Turkey facility. Once shipped, we use express couriers to deliver your order within 3-7 business days, ensuring your spiritual decor arrives safely and swiftly.

Sacred text must be handled with care. If you move, wrap the Hilya in a clean cloth. If the art is ever damaged or no longer wanted, it should be gifted, donated to a Masjid, or disposed of by burying the text in a clean place, consistent with Islamic etiquette for holy scripts.

No. Our Turkish-made art uses specialized, UV-resistant coatings that prevent tarnishing and fading. As long as it is kept indoors and away from harsh chemicals, the gold or silver luster will remain as vibrant as the day you first displayed it in your home.

It is best to give the Hilya a place of honor. While it can be part of a gallery wall, it should ideally be the highest or most central piece. Avoid placing it near any images of living beings or in environments that do not align with the sanctity of the Prophet description.

Every Hilya design is meticulously reviewed by master calligraphers. We verify the specific descriptions transmitted in the Hadith to ensure that every word accurately reflects the historical record. With 27,000+ orders, our brand is synonymous with scriptural and artistic integrity.

Yes. Our 24/7 expert support team can help you select a size that balances the intricate text with your room dimensions. We provide guidance on both technical installation and the religious etiquette of displaying such a significant piece of prophetic heritage.

Tempered glass is moisture-resistant, but the artwork or ink used may not be waterproof. It's best to keep the art indoors and away from direct exposure to rain or high humidity. If used in bathrooms, ensure it's in a well-ventilated area and securely mounted.

While tempered glass itself resists UV damage, the printed artwork may gradually fade if exposed to direct sunlight for extended periods. For longevity, it's recommended to place your wall art away from harsh, direct sunlight or use UV-protective window films.

Use a soft microfiber cloth and a mild glass cleaner. Spray the cleaner onto the cloth (not directly onto the glass) and gently wipe the surface. Avoid abrasive materials or strong chemicals, as they may scratch the glass or damage the artwork's finish.

Yes, tempered glass is significantly stronger and safer than regular glass. It is heat-resistant and designed to shatter into small, less dangerous pieces if broken. This makes it safe for use in various rooms, including kitchens and even children's rooms—though proper installation is essential.
