Surah Ar-Rum 21

The wedding verse, closed into a circle

Surah Ar-Rum Verse 21 cut from 1.5 mm metal as a circle with a matte electrostatic powder paint finish, standing 1.5 cm clear of the wall. Two sizes — 50 or 70 cm across.

Two decisions before it ships

  1. Size

Two sizes — 50 or 70 cm across — drawn to scale against a sofa below.

  2. Hanging

One nail through the bracket already fitted to the back.

What is written on it

The verse read at weddings

He placed between you affection and mercy — set into a circle, which is why this one is bought as a wedding gift more often than for the buyer’s own wall.

وَجَعَلَ بَيْنَكُم مَّوَدَّةً وَرَحْمَةً ۚ

Surah Ar-Rum 30:21

Size & scale

A circle reads wider than its measurement

With no straight edge to sit against the wall, a circle takes more of the eye than its width suggests. Both sizes are drawn below at true scale above a three-seat sofa.

Three-seat sofa · 200 cm (79 in) wide, 82 cm (32 in) high XL · 70 × 70 cm 27.6 × 27.6 in L · 50 × 50 cm 19.7 × 19.7 in
SizeWidth × height (in)Width × height (cm)Best for
L19.7 × 19.7″50 × 50 cmAbove a console or a bed, or in a hallway
XL27.6 × 27.6″70 × 70 cmA main living-room wall — the size most chosen

Mark it before you choose. Run painter's tape on the wall to the outer width and height, then stand back to where you normally sit and look at it from there. On a tall piece, hang it with its middle around 150 cm from the floor and the drop does the rest.

Finishing
Powder coatElectrostatic, baked on

Craft

Matte on purpose

The finish here is a matte electrostatic powder paint rather than a polish, so the circle stays even under a downlight instead of flaring. The verse is cut clean through, so the wall fills the letterforms.

  • A closed circle held by the letterforms themselves
  • Letterforms cut clean through, so the wall color becomes part of the artwork
  • Electrostatic powder coating, baked on for a hard, even surface
  • Cut edges left clean through the fine strokes of the script

A coating that is baked, not sprayed. Powder is applied electrostatically and then cured, which gives a harder and more even surface than a sprayed paint.

Hanging it

Find the center, not the top

A circle has no top edge to level against, so mark the center point and hang to that.

  1. Find the center, not the top

A circle has no top edge to level against, so mark the center point on the wall — about 150 cm up — and hang to that.

  2. Tape the diameter first

Painter's tape across the full width shows how much wall it will take. A circle reads larger than a rectangle of the same width.

  3. Hang and step back

Hook it on, then walk to the far side of the room. A circle sitting slightly off-center shows more than a rectangle hung slightly crooked.

Where it goes

The walls a circle suits

Above a console or mantel

A circle centers on a wall without needing clear width either side, which is what makes it work over furniture.

The prayer corner

It sits at standing eye level and holds its shape when seen from an angle.

Stairwell and entry

A round piece carries a tall, awkward wall better than a rectangle, because there is no edge to fight the staircase line.

Care

Keeping it as it arrived

Dry cloth only

A soft, dry cloth along the length of the script. A baked powder coat is harder than sprayed paint and takes dusting well.

No solvents

Alcohol, glass cleaner and polish will dull a powder-painted surface. If a mark will not lift dry, use a barely damp cloth and dry it at once.

Away from damp

An indoor piece. Keep it off bathroom walls and away from a kitchen extractor.

Choose your size and finish

Sizes to suit the wall, and the finish is the rest of the decision. Tape the diameter first — it is the only measurement that matters.

Frequently Asked Questions

Mawaddah' is often translated as romantic love or affection—the intense, visible bond that draws two people together. 'Rahmah' (Mercy) is the deeper, more enduring quality that sustains a marriage through trials. Mercy allows for forgiveness, patience, and compassion when the initial fires of romance are tested by the realities of life.

The verse states that the purpose of marriage is to 'find tranquility' in one another. In a chaotic world, the home should be a sanctuary of peace. This verse serves as a reminder to both partners to behave in a way that provides emotional security and rest for their spouse, rather than being a source of stress or conflict.

Allah places the creation of love between two strangers as a sign of His creative power, alongside the creation of the heavens and the earth. It suggests that the harmony found in a good marriage is not a lucky coincidence, but a Divine miracle that points back to the mercy and wisdom of the Creator.

The base of the art is high-strength tempered glass. The Arabic calligraphy is then precision-cut from high-gloss or mirrored acrylic (plexiglass) and meticulously hand-mounted onto the glass surface. This creates a multi-layered 3D effect where the text physically stands out from the background, catching light and casting soft shadows.

We use 4mm thick tempered glass, which is approximately five times stronger than standard glass. It is highly resistant to impact and scratches. If it were ever to break, it is designed to crumble into small, rounded fragments rather than sharp shards, making it a safe, gallery-grade choice for any room.

No. We use industrial-strength, UV-resistant acrylic and specialized transparent bonding agents designed specifically for glass-to-acrylic adhesion. This bond is engineered to withstand temperature fluctuations and humidity, ensuring the 3D script remains perfectly aligned and vibrant for decades.

Maintenance is simple: use a soft microfiber cloth and a standard glass cleaner. Spray the cleaner onto the cloth (not directly onto the art), then gently wipe the glass areas and lightly dab the acrylic letters. Avoiding abrasive pads ensures the polished finish of the acrylic remains scratch-free and brilliant.

It is the quintessential 'Union' gift. The combination of the 'Love and Mercy' text and the sleek, high-gloss glass finish creates an atmosphere of sophistication and spiritual depth. It offers a permanent source of guidance for a new couple, serving as a reminder of the Divine blueprint for their shared life.

No. The design features a specialized, hidden hanging system on the reverse side. This allows the art to be mounted securely while sitting slightly off the wall (the 'floating' effect). All brackets remain invisible, ensuring the visual focus stays 100% on the stunning calligraphy. However, some stability screws may appear as dots.

Our master designers in Turkey verify every 'harakat' (vowel mark) and diacritical point against the Uthmani script to ensure 100% theological accuracy. Because the letters are laser-cut from acrylic, the precision is absolute—ensuring that every curve of the script is as spiritually sound as it is artistically superior.

The screws in the metal wall art are for the hanging bracket on the back and for the blind feet to provide a 3D view. Never attempt to remove them.
