Surah Al-Baqarah 152

"Remember Me", set as a column

Fadhkuruni adhkurkum cut from 1.5 mm steel as a tall column and electropolished, 24 × 99 cm.

Two decisions before it ships

  1. Size

One size, 24 × 99 cm, drawn to scale against a sofa below.

  2. Hanging

It arrives with the hanging tools, so the work is a plumb line rather than a height.

What is written on it

The exchange the verse describes

Remember Me and I will remember you; be grateful to Me and do not deny Me. Set vertically, it fits the narrow wall by a door.

فَاذْكُرُونِي أَذْكُرْكُمْ

“So remember Me; I will remember you.”

Surah Al-Baqarah 2:152

Size & scale

A column is judged on its drop

At four times taller than it is wide, this fits the narrow wall beside a door or on a stair that a horizontal piece never does. Drawn below at true scale above a three-seat sofa.

Three-seat sofa · 200 cm (79 in) wide, 82 cm (32 in) high One size · 24 × 99 cm 9.4 × 39 in
SizeWidth × height (in)Width × height (cm)Best for
One size9.4 × 39″24 × 99 cmBeside the front door, on a stair wall, or in a narrow hallway

Mark it before you choose. Run painter's tape on the wall to the outer width and height, then stand back to where you normally sit and look at it from there. On a tall piece, hang it with its middle around 150 cm from the floor and the drop does the rest.

Materials

What it is made of

Material
Steel1.5 mm sheet
Finishing
ElectropolishedBrushed, then polished
Surah Baqarah 152 as a tall polished steel column

Craft

Polished on real steel

Steel rather than sheet metal, which is what keeps a column this narrow from flexing. The shine is polished onto the metal itself rather than sprayed over it.

  • Cut steel, electropolished to its shine
  • Letterforms cut clean through, so the wall color becomes part of the artwork
  • Brushed along the grain, then brought to its shine in a polishing bath
  • A reflection with depth rather than the flat look of a sprayed coating

On the shiny finishes. The shine is polished onto real metal rather than sprayed on, so the reflection carries depth. Because the polishing is a hand-run stage, each piece has its own character in the surface.

Hanging it

Mark a plumb line, not a height

A narrow vertical lives on its vertical. Pencil a plumb line rather than measuring in from a corner, then hang to it.

  1. Mark the center, not the top

Pencil a point about 150 cm up from the floor. On a tall piece the center line matters more than the top edge.

  2. Tape the outline first

Painter's tape to the full width and height lets you judge the position from where you normally sit.

  3. Hang and level

Hook it onto its fixing, slide it until it sits straight, then step back across the room to confirm.

Where it goes

The walls a column suits

By the front door

The wall you pass on the way in and out — which is the point of the words on it.

Hallway and landing

A long, low piece suits a corridor, where it reads on the way past rather than asking you to stop.

Above a console

It spans a hallway console without crowding the ceiling above it.

Care

Keeping it as it arrived

Along the grain

A soft, dry microfibre cloth moving in the direction of the brushing. Lift it by the edges when you move it.

No cleaners

Alcohol, glass cleaner and polish will cut into a polished metal surface. A barely damp cloth, dried at once, lifts anything a dry cloth will not.

Away from damp

An indoor piece. Keep it off bathroom walls and away from a kitchen extractor, where steady humidity dulls a polished finish.

Choose your size and finish

One size, and the finish is the rest of the decision. Tape the outline on the wall first — it is the only measurement that matters.

Frequently Asked Questions

Scholars explain that when we remember Allah through prayer or praise, His 'remembrance' of us manifests as Divine grace, protection, and mention among the angels. It is a staggering thought: the Lord of the Worlds mentions your name in the highest assembly simply because you turned your heart toward Him.

Dhikr and Shukr are two sides of the same coin. Remembrance brings awareness of Allah’s presence, which naturally leads to recognizing His favors. By pairing them, the verse teaches that the most complete form of faith is one that acknowledges God constantly and responds to His blessings with active gratitude.

It serves as a 'Visual Covenant.' Seeing this verse daily reminds the family that they are never alone or forgotten. It fosters an environment of 'Haya' (spiritual modesty) and peace, encouraging everyone to keep their tongues moist with remembrance and their hearts open to gratitude.

Our designs for this verse often utilize a bold, majestic 'Thuluth' script. The composition is frequently balanced to give visual weight to 'Fadhkuruni' (Remember Me) and 'Adhkurkum' (I will remember you), creating a beautiful symmetry that mirrors the reciprocal nature of the promise.

We use a precision process on high-grade material, mounting the art to sit approximately 1.5 cm away from the wall. This 'floating' effect creates physical depth; as your room's lighting shifts throughout the day, the calligraphy casts soft shadows that give the sacred words a tangible, sculptural presence.

The piece is treated with high-luster, industrial-grade powder coatings or acrylic overlay—available in brushed gold, polished silver, or matte black. These finishes are anti-tarnish, moisture-resistant, and UV-protected, ensuring the luster remains vibrant for decades without fading or wear.

Maintenance is intentionally effortless. A simple dusting with a dry, soft microfiber cloth once a month is all that is required. We recommend avoiding wet wipes or chemical cleaners to preserve the integrity of the specialized protective layer and keep the finish looking 'gallery-new.'

Gifting the 'Verse of Remembrance' is a gesture of wishing a family a lifetime of Divine presence. It is a prestigious choice because it offers the new household a permanent source of spiritual grounding, reminding them that their gratitude is the key to further blessings in their new life.

Yes. Each design features an integrated hanging system on the reverse. This allows the piece to be mounted securely with a single nail or screw, sitting flush yet 'floating' off the wall. The hardware remains almost invisible except for the screw spacers, ensuring the visual focus stays entirely on the calligraphy.

Our master designers in Turkey meticulously verify every 'harakat' (vowel mark) to ensure 100% theological and calligraphic accuracy. We bridge centuries of Ottoman tradition with modern production standards to deliver a piece that is as spiritually sound as it is artistically superior.

The screws in the metal wall art are for the hanging bracket on the back and for the blind feet to provide a 3D view. Never attempt to remove them.

It will not darken unless exposed to moisture in normal indoor environments. We do not recommend protecting it from moisture or exposure to rain or direct sunlight outdoors.

We do not recommend any chemical products. You can remove dust with a slightly damp cloth.
