Ayat al-Kursi with Al-Falaq and An-Nas

Three panels in acrylic and wood, hung as one run

Ayat al-Kursi with Surah Al-Falaq and Surah An-Nas, the calligraphy cut in gold or silver acrylic over a black or white board. Three sizes, 30 × 40 cm up to 50 × 66 cm per panel.

Two decisions before it ships

  1. Size

    Three sizes per panel — 30 × 40, 40 × 53 or 50 × 66 cm — drawn to scale against a sofa below.

  2. Hanging

Three panels with hanging holes, put up with the 12 nails and the double-sided tape in the box, so the work is the spacing rather than the fixing.

What is written on it

Ayat al-Kursi, with the two surahs of refuge

The Throne Verse with the two surahs recited for protection, which is why the three are set as one run rather than hung apart.

“Allah! There is no deity except Him, the Ever-Living, the Sustainer of [all] existence. Neither drowsiness overtakes Him nor sleep. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. Who is it that can intercede with Him except by His permission? His Kursi extends over the heavens and the earth, and their preservation tires Him not. And He is the Most High, the Most Great.”

Size & scale

The table is one panel; the run is three of them

Each figure below is one panel. The drawing shows all three side by side at true scale over a three-seat sofa, a finger-width apart, with the two smaller sizes nested inside the end panel — close the gaps or open them and the run changes with it, so mark the whole width before the first nail goes in.

Three-seat sofa · 200 cm (79 in) wide, 82 cm (32 in) high · pieces drawn 2.5 cm apart L · 50 × 66 cm each 19.7 × 26 in M · 40 × 53 cm each 15.7 × 20.9 in S · 30 × 40 cm each 11.8 × 15.7 in
SizeWidth × height (in)Width × height (cm)Best for
S11.8 × 15.7″30 × 40 cmA hallway, a landing, or above a narrow console
M15.7 × 20.9″40 × 53 cmAbove a two-seat sofa or a sideboard
L19.7 × 26″50 × 66 cmA main living-room wall above a three-seat sofa

Tape the whole outline first. A set needs its total footprint marked, not each piece measured — run painter's tape around the full width and height, stand back to where you normally sit, and judge it from there.

The three panels above a console, silver and gold acrylic calligraphy on black boards

Craft

Acrylic script over a black or white MDF board

Each panel is 4 mm MDF, and the gold and silver calligraphy is an acrylic face layered over it — 0.8 to 1 mm in gold, depending on the batch, and 0.8 mm in silver. The script sits forward of the board, so it catches light the board does not.

  • Acrylic calligraphy layered over a black or white MDF board, coloured through rather than painted, in three matched panels
  • Cut and layered so the calligraphy sits forward of the panel behind it
  • Wood and acrylic combined, each carrying its own depth and grain
  • Edges finished clean; the flat back sits flush on the wall

On wood and acrylic. Layering the two materials is what gives the piece its depth: the acrylic carries the line of the calligraphy and the wood behind it gives the panel warmth and weight.

Hanging it

Even gaps matter more than a level top edge

Three panels of the same height read as one piece when the gaps match, so that is the measurement to take from the floor layout.

  1. Lay the set out on the floor

Arrange every piece exactly as it should read on the wall, with even gaps, then measure the total width and the distance to each fixing.

  2. Mark one shared line

Pencil a single level line on the wall and put every fixing on it. That is what keeps the pieces reading as one composition.

  3. Tape the outline, then work across

Painter's tape to the full outline lets you check the whole arrangement before the first nail goes in. Hang from one end and work across, checking each piece against the line.

  • 12 nails and double-sided tape in the box; no frame, glass or backing board to fit
  • Packed with corner protection for transit

Where it goes

Where it goes

Above the sofa

The wall this was designed for, spanning roughly two thirds of the seat beneath it.

Dining and console walls

A long, low piece sits naturally over a sideboard or a dining table, where a tall piece would crowd the ceiling.

Entryway and hallway

Cut work keeps a corridor from feeling closed in, because the wall reads through the letterforms.

Care

Keeping it as it arrived

Dry cloth only

A soft, dry cloth. Wood and acrylic both mark with abrasives, so nothing scouring.

No solvents

Alcohol and glass cleaner will haze acrylic. If a mark will not lift dry, use a barely damp cloth and dry it at once.

Away from damp and direct sun

Wood moves with humidity and acrylic can warm in direct sunlight, so give it an interior wall out of the midday light.

Choose your size and finish

Three sizes, and the board and acrylic are the rest of the decision. Tape the full outline of all three first — the total width is the only measurement that matters.

Frequently Asked Questions

Ayatul Kursi is the 255th verse of Surah Al-Baqarah and is known as the most magnificent verse in the Qur'an. It describes Allah’s absolute power, knowledge, and authority over the heavens and the earth. Displaying this verse is a powerful way to invite Divine protection (Hifz) into your home, acting as a constant visual reminder that nothing happens without the permission of the Ever-Living, All-Powerful Creator.

While Ayatul Kursi establishes the Majesty of Allah, Surah Al-Falaq and Surah An-Nas (the Mu'awwidhatayn) are the ultimate prayers for seeking refuge. Together, they form a complete "Spiritual Shield." This combination provides comfort to the heart, reminding the family that they are protected from external envy and internal anxieties, creating an atmosphere of safety and "Sakinah" (tranquility).

Beyond its protective qualities, Ayatul Kursi speaks of Allah’s Kursi (Throne) extending over the entire universe. Having this beautifully rendered in 3D calligraphy transforms a wall into a window of reflection. It humbles the viewer and brings a sense of warmth, as it reminds us that we are never alone—we are under the constant care of the One who neither slumbers nor sleeps.

Yes, absolutely. By placing these high-end pieces in prominent areas like the entryway or the main lounge, they serve as "visual Dhikr." They encourage the household to recite these verses upon entering or leaving, turning a beautiful design element into a source of daily spiritual reward (Ajr) and mindfulness.

Ayatul Kursi contains intricate linguistic details. Our master designers verify every curve and diacritical mark against the Uthmani script. Because we use laser-cutting technology, we achieve a level of precision that hand-painting often misses, ensuring that the Word of Allah is represented with 100% theological and aesthetic accuracy.

Gifting Ayatul Kursi and the protective Surahs is one of the most meaningful gestures in our tradition. It signifies a wish for the recipient’s home to be blessed and guarded. Its finish and craftsmanship elevate it from a simple gift to a prestigious "statement piece" that honors the occasion and the sanctity of the verses it holds.

The board is black or white MDF, coloured through rather than painted: the black is 4 mm self-coloured MDF and the white is the MDF's own colour. The calligraphy is gold or silver acrylic.

The wall art pieces are crafted from high-quality materials, including laser-cut MDF wood and acrylic. To maintain their appearance, avoid using water, alcohol, or chemicals. Clean the surfaces with a dry, soft cloth to preserve the finish. These materials ensure durability and a premium look suitable for long-term display.

Yes. There is no hanging hardware to fit: each panel has hanging holes and goes up with the 12 nails and the double-sided tape in the box (24 pieces of tape for the 30x40 cm size, 36 for the 50x66 cm size). The back is flat, so the panels sit flush on the wall.

We do not recommend any chemical products. You can remove dust with a slightly damp cloth.
