Ayat al-Kursi · Al-Baqarah 255

The Throne Verse, cut into a drop silhouette

Ayat al-Kursi in full, cut from metal into a drop-shaped outline. Two heights, 67 and 96 cm, in seven matte and polished finishes.

Three decisions before it ships

  1. Size

Two sizes, 48 and 69 cm wide, drawn to scale against a sofa below.

  2. Finish

Seven finishes — four matte, and three in polished metal.

  3. Hanging

Mark a level line and match the fixing to the wall — that is the whole job.

What is written on it

Ayat al-Kursi, in full

The complete verse, not an excerpt. Fitting all of it inside a drop outline is what gives the piece its density of script.

“Allah! There is no deity except Him, the Ever-Living, the Sustainer of [all] existence. Neither drowsiness overtakes Him nor sleep. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. Who is it that can intercede with Him except by His permission? He knows what is [presently] before them and what will be after them, and they encompass not a thing of His knowledge except for what He wills. His Kursi extends over the heavens and the earth, and their preservation tires Him not. And He is the Most High, the Most Great.”

Surah Al-Baqarah 2:255

Size & scale

A tall piece is judged on its drop, not its width

Both sizes are noticeably taller than they are wide, so what matters is the drop rather than the run of wall. They are drawn below at true scale above a three-seat sofa.

Three-seat sofa · 200 cm (79 in) wide, 82 cm (32 in) high XL · 69 × 96 cm 27.2 × 37.8 in L · 48 × 67 cm 18.9 × 26.4 in
SizeWidth × height (in)Width × height (cm)Best for
L18.9 × 26.4″48 × 67 cmA hallway, a prayer corner, or a bedroom wall
XL27.2 × 37.8″69 × 96 cmA living-room feature wall, above a console or a sofa

Mark it before you choose. Run painter's tape on the wall to the outer width and height, then stand back to where you normally sit and look at it from there. On a tall piece, hang it with its middle around 150 cm from the floor and the drop does the rest.

Materials

What it is made of

Material

Finishing
Shiny metalA polished, reflective face

Craft

The depth is structural, not printed

Every letterform is cut clean through the metal, so the wall color shows between the strokes and becomes part of the artwork rather than a background behind it.

  • Letterforms cut clean through, so the wall color becomes part of the artwork
  • A polished metal face, so the reflection has the depth of real metal
  • Cut edges left clean through the fine strokes of the script

On the shiny finishes. The shine is the metal itself rather than a printed sheen, so the reflection carries depth and the piece changes with the light in the room through the day.

Finishes

The finishes

Four matte finishes and three in polished metal. The polished ones carry a reflection with depth; the matte ones give the most uniform surface.

Ayatul Kursi drop design metal wall art in matte black

Matte Black

The most uniform surface of the set, and the one that holds its shape against a pale wall.

Ayatul Kursi drop design metal wall art in matte gold

Matte Gold

Warmth without shine, which suits a room lit mostly by lamps rather than daylight.

Ayatul Kursi drop design metal wall art in matte silver

Matte Silver

Cool and quiet, and the easiest to place in a room that already has chrome or glass in it.

Ayatul Kursi drop design metal wall art in matte copper

Matte Copper

The warmest of the matte finishes, and the one that reads best against green, clay or deep neutral walls.

Ayatul Kursi drop design metal wall art in shiny gold

Shiny Gold

Polished metal. The most reflective of the set and the one most often chosen for a main living-room wall.

Ayatul Kursi drop design metal wall art in shiny silver

Shiny Silver

Polished metal. Throws light back into the room, so it lifts a wall that sits away from a window.

Ayatul Kursi drop design metal wall art in shiny copper

Shiny Copper

Polished metal. Warmer than the gold and less common, and worth it if the room already has brass or wood tones.

Hanging it

Mark the center, not the top

On a tall, narrow silhouette a center that sits right forgives a top edge that does not.

  1. Mark the center, not the top

Pencil a point about 150 cm up from the floor. On a tall piece the center line matters more than the top edge.

  2. Tape the outline first

Painter's tape to the full width and height lets you judge the position from where you normally sit.

  3. Hang and level

Hook it onto its fixing, slide it until it sits straight, then step back across the room to confirm.

  • Packed with corner protection for transit

Where it goes

Where it goes

The prayer corner

The wall you face when you lay out the mat, at standing eye level rather than above it.

A hallway or landing

It reads on the way past, on a wall people walk by rather than sit in front of.

Above a console

A main living-room wall, centered on the furniture beneath rather than on the wall as a whole.

Care

Keeping it as it arrived

Dry cloth only

A soft, dry microfibre cloth. Lift the piece by its edges when you move it, since a polished face shows fingerprints readily.

No cleaners

Alcohol, glass cleaner and polish will cut into a polished metal surface. A barely damp cloth, dried at once, lifts anything a dry cloth will not.

Away from damp

An indoor piece. Keep it off bathroom walls and away from a kitchen extractor, where steady humidity dulls a polished finish.

Choose your size and finish

Two sizes, and the finish is the rest of the decision. Tape the outline on the wall first — it is the only measurement that matters.

Frequently Asked Questions

Displaying Ayatul Kursi is widely considered permissible and is a virtuous practice for 'Dhikr' (remembrance). Scholars at the Islamic Bulletin suggest that hanging such verses helps transform a living space into a place of reflection. As long as the art is treated with 'Adab' (etiquette)—placed in a clean, elevated position and not near areas of impurity—it is a respected addition to any Muslim home.

Ayatul Kursi is known as the 'Verse of Protection.' Authentic narrations suggest that its recitation or presence serves as a spiritual shield against evil, anxiety, and harm. It describes Allah’s 'Kursi' (Throne) extending over the heavens and the earth, reminding the household that His guardianship is constant and effortless, bringing peace and 'Sakina' to the environment.

The most respectful locations are the living room, foyer, or a dedicated prayer space. Many choose to hang it near the main entrance so it is the first and last thing seen when entering or leaving the home. To maintain proper etiquette, ensure it is hung high on the wall, above shoulder level, and never in bathrooms or areas where it might be treated with low regard.

No, our metal pieces undergo a premium electro-coating process in Turkey. This industrial finish is far superior to standard paint or stainless steel, as it creates a chemical bond that is rust-resistant and durable. Whether you choose Gold, Silver, or Black, the finish will remain vibrant and will not tarnish or peel, even in humid climates.

Accuracy is our highest priority. Every piece is designed following the traditional Uthmani script found. Our expert calligraphers in Turkey meticulously verify every 'Nuqta' (dot) and 'Haraka' (vowel mark) to ensure the sacred text is perfectly preserved. This ensures your wall art is a faithful and religiously sound representation of Allah's word.

Handle the art with the same respect you would show a Mushaf. We recommend being in a state of 'Wudu' (ablution) when touching the sacred text. When cleaning, use a soft, dry microfiber cloth to gently remove dust without using chemicals. If you are moving, wrap the piece in a clean cloth and ensure it never touches the floor during the transition.

With over 6,000 five-star reviews, IWA is a trusted authority in premium Islamic decor. We combine high-end Turkish manufacturing with a deep understanding of religious values. Every piece is a result of centuries-old craftsmanship traditions, ensuring that your Ayatul Kursi is not just a product, but a meaningful spiritual heirloom.

Production speed depends on the material. Either wood or metal, both types are produced in our Turkish workshop and shipped via express delivery to reach you within 3-7 business days.

Yes, it is common and permissible to hang Ayatul Kursi in a bedroom to bring a sense of safety and tranquility. In a child's nursery, it serves as a beautiful introduction to the power of Allah. Ensure it is mounted securely and at a height that remains out of reach of small children to protect both the art and the sanctity of the text.

You can explain that Ayatul Kursi is a 'Hymn of Divine Majesty.' It describes God's eternal nature, His absolute knowledge, and His throne that encompasses the entire universe. It is a verse of peace and protection that reminds Muslims that God never grows tired of watching over His creation, reflecting a universal message of hope and divine care.

The screws in the metal wall art are for the hanging bracket on the back and for the blind feet to provide a 3D view. Never attempt to remove them.
