Surah Ar-Rahman 55:13

Polished metal, held 2 cm off the wall

Verse 13 cut from 1.5 mm metal, brushed along the grain and then electropolished, so the reflection carries depth rather than sitting flat. Two lengths, 69 and 99 cm.

Three decisions before it ships

  1. Size

Two sizes, 69 and 99 cm wide, drawn to scale against a sofa below.

  2. Finish

Three polished finishes — gold, silver or copper.

  3. Hanging

One nail through the bracket already fitted to the back.

What is written on it

The verse that runs through the surah

The question repeated thirty-one times across Surah Ar-Rahman, and the reason the surah is remembered by it.

بِاَيِّ اٰلَٓاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

“So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?”

Surah Ar-Rahman 55:13

Size & scale

Measured against a sofa, not a photograph

Both sizes are more than three times wider than they are tall, so the constraint is the clear run of wall. They are drawn below at true scale above a three-seat sofa.

Three-seat sofa · 200 cm (79 in) wide, 82 cm (32 in) high L · 99 × 29 cm 39 × 11.4 in M · 69 × 20 cm 27.2 × 7.9 in
SizeWidth × height (in)Width × height (cm)Best for
M27.2 × 7.9″69 × 20 cmAbove a console, a doorway, or a hallway landing
L39 × 11.4″99 × 29 cmAbove a sideboard, a dining table, or a three-seat sofa

Match it to the furniture, not the wall. A low horizontal piece looks right when it spans roughly two thirds of whatever sits beneath it. Run painter's tape to the full width first and look at it from where you normally sit.

Craft

The depth is structural, not printed

The letterforms are cut clean through the metal, then the surface is brushed and polished rather than coated. Held 2 cm proud of the wall, the script carries both a reflection and a shadow.

  • Letterforms cut clean through, so the wall color becomes part of the artwork
  • Brushed along the grain, then brought to its shine in a polishing bath
  • A reflection with depth rather than the flat look of a sprayed coating

On the shiny finishes. The shine is polished onto real metal rather than sprayed on, so the reflection carries depth. Because the polishing is a hand-run stage, each piece has its own character in the surface.

Finishes

The finishes

All three are brushed and electropolished. Because the polish is a separate hand-run stage, each piece carries its own character in the surface.

Surah Rahman verse 13 shiny metal wall art in shiny gold

Shiny Gold

Brushed and electropolished. The most reflective of the set and the one most often chosen for a main living-room wall.

Surah Rahman verse 13 shiny metal wall art in shiny silver

Shiny Silver

Brushed and electropolished. Throws light back into the room, so it lifts a wall that sits away from a window.

Surah Rahman verse 13 shiny metal wall art in shiny copper

Shiny Copper

Brushed and electropolished. Warmer than the gold and less common, and worth it if the room already has brass or wood tones.

Hanging it

One nail, and one level line

It hangs from the bracket on its back, so the whole job is putting one nail on a line you have measured rather than guessed.

  1. Lay it down and measure to the bracket

Set it face up and measure from the left edge to the bracket. That single number is the whole job.

  2. Pencil one level line

Mark a light horizontal line at bracket height, centered on the furniture below rather than on the wall as a whole.

  3. Tape the width, then hang

Painter's tape to the full width shows you the position from across the room. Hang it and check it against the line.

  • Mounting bracket already fitted to the back
  • Assembly tools included
  • Packed with corner protection for transit

Where it goes

Where it goes

Above the sofa

The wall this was designed for, spanning roughly two thirds of the seat beneath it.

Dining and console walls

A long, low piece sits naturally over a sideboard or a dining table, where a tall piece would crowd the ceiling.

Entryway and hallway

Cut work keeps a corridor from feeling closed in, because the wall reads through the letterforms.

Care

Keeping it as it arrived

Along the grain

A soft, dry microfibre cloth moving in the direction of the brushing. Lift it by the edges when you move it.

No cleaners

Alcohol, glass cleaner and polish will cut into a polished metal surface. A barely damp cloth, dried at once, lifts anything a dry cloth will not.

Away from damp

An indoor piece. Keep it off bathroom walls and away from a kitchen extractor, where steady humidity dulls a polished finish.

Choose your size and finish

Two sizes, and the finish is the rest of the decision. Tape the width on the wall first — it is the only measurement that matters.

Frequently Asked Questions

Repetition in the Qur'an is a powerful rhetorical tool for emphasis. In this chapter, the verse acts as a rhythmic pulse that follows descriptions of various favors—from the creation of the sun and moon to the promise of Paradise. It forces a pause, asking the listener to reflect on a specific blessing before moving to the next, building a profound sense of 'Shukr' (gratitude).

The Arabic word 'Tukadhdhiban' is in the dual form. It specifically addresses two distinct groups of creation: Mankind and the Jinn. This highlights that Allah's favors and the subsequent obligation of gratitude extend beyond the visible human world to include all sentient beings created for worship.

It serves as a constant 'Reality Check.' In a modern world often focused on what we lack, this verse anchors the heart in what we already have. It is particularly effective in dining areas or family rooms, where it encourages a culture of mindfulness and verbalizing 'Alhamdulillah' in daily life.

The 3D effect is achieved through a multi-layered precision laser-cutting process. Each piece is mounted to sit approximately 1.5 cm away from the wall. This offset creates a shadow-play effect; as your room's lighting shifts throughout the day, the calligraphy casts varying shadows, giving the sacred text a tangible, sculptural presence that flat prints cannot match.

Yes. Every piece undergoes a professional electrostatic powder-coating process. This creates a finish that is anti-tarnish (resisting oxidation), moisture-resistant (safe for humid areas or coastal homes), and UV-protected to prevent fading even in direct sunlight.

Maintenance is intentionally minimal. Because the specialized coating is non-porous, a simple dusting with a dry, soft microfiber cloth once a month is all that is required. We recommend avoiding wet wipes or chemical cleaners to preserve the integrity of the specialized protective layer.

Yes. Each design features an integrated hanging system on the reverse side. This allows the piece to sit securely against the wall with a professional 'floating' look, keeping the focus entirely on the calligraphy without visible or distracting hardware.

Our master designers in Turkey meticulously verify every 'harakat' (vowel mark) to ensure 100% theological and calligraphic accuracy. We bridge centuries of Ottoman script heritage with modern industrial precision, delivering a piece that is as spiritually authentic as it is artistically superior.

Gifting Surah Ar-Rahman 13 is a gesture of wishing a lifetime of contentment for the recipient. It is a prestigious choice because it represents the highest level of spiritual beauty, offering the new couple or family a permanent source of spiritual grounding and a reminder of the blessings inherent in their union.

The screws in the metal wall art are for the hanging bracket on the back and for the blind feet to provide a 3D view. Never attempt to remove them.
