Muslim Prayer Beads: Tasbih and Misbaha for Daily Dhikr

Muslim prayer beads are a string of beads used to count dhikr, the remembrance of Allah, such as SubhanAllah, Alhamdulillah and Allahu Akbar after salah. They go by several names: tasbih (also written tasbeeh or tesbih), misbaha (also masbaha) and subha in Arabic, and Islamic or Muslim rosary in English.

Stones, woods and bead sizes

Our prayer beads are made in agate, jade, onyx, obsidian, tiger's eye, amethyst, quartz, hematite, turquoise, opal, moonstone, amazonite and mother of pearl, and in kuka and olive wood. Beads are 6, 7 or 8 mm; each product page lists the size.

Choosing a tasbih

  • For a pocket or bag: 6 mm beads keep the tasbih small.
  • For an easier grip: 8 mm beads are easier to move one by one.
  • As a gift: a tasbih is a common gift for Ramadan, Eid, Hajj and Umrah. Our Ramadan gift sets put prayer beads together with a prayer rug.

Complete a prayer corner with a prayer rug, mihrab wall art and other prayer room pieces.
