Bismillah date stands

Date stands carrying the Bismillah

Date stands carrying the Bismillah, 9 × 5 cm. It comes as a set of 6 or 12 of the same piece — one per place at the table.

Four decisions before it ships

  1. What it is

Date stands carrying the Bismillah. A date sits in each one, down the middle of the table or one per place.

  2. Size

One size, 9 × 5 cm — that is one piece, not the set.

  3. Finish

Four finishes. The piece is the same in each; what changes is how much it lifts off the cloth.

  4. How many

It comes as a set of 6 or 12 of the same piece — one per place at the table.

Size on the table

How big is one of them?

9 × 5 cm for one piece. It is drawn below beside a coffee mug, at the same scale — a set is this, six or twelve times over.

Coffee mug · 9 cm (3.5 in) wide, 10 cm (3.9 in) high One size · 9 × 5 cm 3.5 × 2 in
SizeWidth × height (in)Width × height (cm)Best for
One size3.5 × 2″9 × 5 cmOne piece, at each place

The size is one piece. Every figure here is a single bismillah date stands. A set of 6 or 12 is that piece repeated, so the space it takes on the table is this multiplied by the number of places you are laying.

Craft

How it is made

A date sits in each one, down the middle of the table or one per place.

  • Clear acrylic with the calligraphy cut in gold or silver acrylic
  • Two interlocking pieces — it goes together in the hand, and flat again afterwards
  • The clear part almost disappears against the cloth, so the script is what is seen

On the two pieces. It arrives flat and slots together, which is how a set of twelve travels in a small box and stores in a drawer rather than a shelf. Nothing is glued, so it comes apart the same way.

Finishes

The finishes

Four finishes of the same cut piece.

bismillah date stands in gold

Gold

Warm and bright, and the one that reads best against off-white and cream walls.

bismillah date stands in silver

Silver

Cool and quiet, and the easiest to place in a room that already has chrome or glass in it.

bismillah date stands in transparent

Transparent

A finish that changes how much the script reflects, and how far forward it sits on the wall.

bismillah date stands in black

Black

The sharpest contrast of the set against a pale wall, and the one that reads most clearly from across a room.

Using it

Setting the table

A table set for iftar is laid once and cleared every night for a month. These three habits are what survive that.

  1. Lay it once, before the first night

Set one at every place and leave the setting alone for the month. The point of a set is that the table is already laid when the adhan comes.

  2. Clear it with the cloth, not the plates

It goes back in its box rather than into the washing-up bowl. That single habit is most of why a set survives a whole Ramadan.

  3. Turn the script toward the guest

The piece is cut to be read from the seat, not from the head of the table.

  • Packed for transit

Where it lives

Where it ends up

The iftar table, every night of Ramadan

This is what it is for: one at each place, from the first night to the last.

Eid, and the table after it

The same setting carries over — the greeting changes, the table does not.

Put away between years

Boxed and in a cupboard for eleven months. It is worth keeping the box it came in for exactly that.

Care

Keeping it as it arrived

A dry cloth, nothing wet

Water spots and household cleaners both mark acrylic. Dry and soft is the whole routine.

Nothing abrasive

Clear acrylic shows a scratch more readily than a colored one does.

Store it flat, apart

Taken apart it stacks; left together it takes the space of the whole piece.

Frequently Asked Questions

The Basmala is the opening of almost every Surah in the Quran. Scholars at the Islamic Bulletin note that starting any task with 'Bismillah' aligns your intention with the Divine, transforming a mundane act into an act of 'Ibada' (worship). Having this on your wall acts as a constant visual prompt for 'Dhikr' (remembrance) for every family member.

Yes, it is highly encouraged. Displaying Quranic verses as a reminder is a time-honored tradition. As long as the art is hung with 'Adab'—meaning it is placed in a clean, high, and respectful location rather than near the floor or in bathrooms—it is considered a virtuous way to sanctify the home environment.

The most strategic and traditional placement is the entryway or the foyer. By placing it near the front door, it ensures that 'Bismillah' is the first thing recited upon entering and the last thing seen upon leaving. It sets a spiritual boundary for the home, inviting peace and warding off distractions.

Standard paint is a surface layer that can chip or flake. Our Turkish-made metal art uses electro-coating, which creates a chemical bond between the finish and the metal. This results in a much more resilient, rust-resistant surface that maintains its brilliant Gold, Silver, or Black luster for years without fading.

Ar-Rahman' refers to Allah's all-encompassing mercy that extends to all of creation, while 'Ar-Rahim' refers to His specific, intimate mercy for the believers. Displaying this verse reminds the household that they are constantly enveloped in both forms of Divine love and compassion.

Absolutely. Since we are commanded to say 'Bismillah' before eating, the dining room is an excellent location. It serves as a reminder for the family to recognize Allah as the 'Razzaq' (Provider) and to express gratitude for the sustenance provided at every meal.

We use high-density, premium materials sourced in Turkey, which is more stable than standard materials. It is specifically engineered to resist the expansion and contraction caused by indoor humidity. However, we recommend keeping wood art indoors and away from direct moisture to ensure its longevity.

We work with professional calligraphers in Turkey who are masters of the Arabic script. Every design is cross-referenced multiple sources to ensure every letter, vowel mark (haraka), and dot (nuqta) is perfectly placed according to the Uthmani codex, preserving the sanctity of the text.

Treat the art with 'Adab'—we suggest being in a state of 'Wudu' (ablution) when handling it. Use a soft, dry microfiber cloth to gently remove dust. Avoid any chemical cleaners or water, which are unnecessary for our premium finishes and could potentially dull the luster over time.

With over 6000+ successful reviews, our logistics are highly reliable. Once production is complete, we use express shipping to deliver your art in 3-5 business days. We provide 24/7 expert support and real-time tracking so you can follow your piece's journey from our workshop to your wall.

Our Islamic Date Holders are made out of Plexyglass (a.k.a Acrylic).

The Islamic Date olders come in attachable two pieces, which makes very convenient for assembly and quick use.

Absolutely, we provide 4 color options along with different scripts and shapes for the Islamic Date Holders!

You may clean the product by detaching the pieces and wiping them with a microfiber damp cloth. We suggest avoiding hard chemicals.

Yes, you may contact customer support for any inquiries regarding your special Date Holders. We'll do our best to help you in the best way possible!
