Mark it before you choose. Run painter's tape on the wall to the outer width and height, then stand back to where you normally sit and look at it from there. On a tall piece, hang it with its middle around 150 cm from the floor and the drop does the rest.

Craft

Two parts, one piece

The inner and the outer are cut separately at 2 mm and assembled on the wall, which is what lets the two carry different tones. The 1.5 cm standoff drops a shadow into the gap between them.
