Surah Ar-Ra'd 28

One line, for the wall you sit under

"In the remembrance of Allah do hearts find comfort" cut from 1.5–2 mm metal, standing 1.5 cm clear of the wall. Two lengths, 69 or 99 cm.

Two decisions before it ships

  1. Size

Two lengths — 69 or 99 cm — drawn to scale against a sofa below.

  2. Hanging

One nail through the bracket already fitted to the back. It arrives ready to hang.

What is written on it

The line the whole verse turns on

The half of the verse that is quoted on its own: hearts settle in the remembrance of Allah. Cut as one line, it reads from a doorway.

أَلَا بِذِكْرِ ٱللَّهِ تَطْمَئِنُّ ٱلْقُلُوبُ

Ala bi dhikr allah tatma innu al quloob

“Surely in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find comfort.”

Surah Ar-Ra'd 13:28

Size & scale

A long line is judged against the furniture

Both lengths are around four times wider than they are tall, so these sit above a sofa, a bed or a reading chair rather than filling a wall. Drawn below at true scale over a three-seat sofa.

Three-seat sofa · 200 cm (79 in) wide, 82 cm (32 in) high L · 99 × 24 cm 39 × 9.4 in M · 69 × 17 cm 27.2 × 6.7 in
SizeWidth × height (in)Width × height (cm)Best for
M27.2 × 6.7″69 × 17 cmAbove a doorway, a shelf, or a reading chair
L39 × 9.4″99 × 24 cmAbove a two- or three-seat sofa — the length most chosen

Match it to the furniture, not the wall. A low horizontal piece looks right when it spans roughly two thirds of whatever sits beneath it. Run painter's tape to the full width first and look at it from where you normally sit.

Craft

Cut through, and standing off the wall

The script is cut clean through the sheet, so the wall color runs inside the letterforms. Mounted 1.5 cm proud, the line carries its own shadow along the wall as the light moves.

  • One line, cut clean through the sheet
  • Letterforms cut clean through, so the wall color becomes part of the artwork
  • Cut edges left clean through the fine strokes of the script
  • The weight and the edge of real metal rather than a printed panel

Why the cut matters. Because the script is cut out of the sheet rather than printed onto it, the wall behind becomes part of the artwork and the piece changes with the light in the room through the day.

Hanging it

One nail, once the line is marked

A long horizontal shows every degree of tilt, so mark the line rather than judging it by eye. One nail through the bracket carries it.

  1. Lay it down and measure to the bracket

Set it face up and measure from the left edge to the bracket. That single number is the whole job.

  2. Pencil one level line

Mark a light horizontal line at bracket height, centered on the furniture below rather than on the wall as a whole.

  3. Tape the width, then hang

Painter's tape to the full width shows you the position from across the room. Hang it and check it against the line.

Where it goes

The walls a long line suits

Above the sofa

The wall this was designed for, spanning roughly two thirds of the seat beneath it.

Dining and console walls

A long, low piece sits naturally over a sideboard or a dining table, where a tall piece would crowd the ceiling.

Entryway and hallway

Cut work keeps a corridor from feeling closed in, because the wall reads through the letterforms.

Care

Keeping it as it arrived

Dry cloth only

A soft, dry cloth along the length of the script. Nothing abrasive.

No cleaners

Alcohol, glass cleaner and polish will mark a finished metal surface. A barely damp cloth, dried at once, is enough.

Away from damp

An indoor piece. Keep it off bathroom walls and away from a kitchen extractor.

Choose your size and finish

Two sizes, and the finish is the rest of the decision. Tape the width on the wall first — it is the only measurement that matters.

Frequently Asked Questions

The Arabic word 'Tatma'innu' implies a state of being firmly settled, still, and free from agitation. It is more than just a temporary feeling of happiness; it is a deep-seated tranquility that remains steady even during life's storms. This verse teaches that while the world is a place of constant motion and stress, the human heart was designed to find its 'anchor' only in the remembrance (Dhikr) of its Creator.

It acts as a 'Visual Dhikr.' In the middle of a hectic day, catching a glimpse of this verse provides an immediate cognitive and spiritual reset. It serves as a reminder to pause, breathe, and reconnect with Allah. For many households, it becomes a focal point that de-escalates stress and fosters a more serene, God-conscious environment.

Because of its soothing message, this piece is a favorite for bedrooms, nurseries, or meditation corners. It is also exceptionally impactful in high-traffic 'stress zones' like a home office or a kitchen, where it can offer a moment of calm during busy daily routines.

This piece typically features a fluid, balanced 'Thuluth' script that mimics the calmness of the message. The curves of the letters are elongated and soft, avoiding sharp angles to reinforce the theme of peace. The composition often highlights the word 'Allah' and 'Al-Qulub' (The Hearts), creating a beautiful symmetry that draws the eye into the center of the verse.

We use a precision laser-cutting technique on high-grade material to create a 3D effect. The piece is mounted to sit approximately 1.5 cm away from the wall. This 'floating' design allows light to pass behind the calligraphy, casting soft shadows that give the sacred words a tangible, sculptural depth. As your room's lighting shifts throughout the day, the verse appears to have a dynamic, 'living' presence.

Every piece is treated with an industrial-strength powder coating—available in brushed gold, polished silver, or matte black. This finish is anti-tarnish, moisture-resistant, and UV-protected. It ensures the luster remains vibrant for decades, making it a true heirloom piece that won't fade or rust over time.

Maintenance is intentionally effortless. A simple dusting with a dry, soft microfiber cloth once a month is all that is required. We recommend avoiding wet wipes or chemical cleaners, as the specialized 3D coating is designed to stay brilliant with minimal, dry care.

Gifting Surah Ar-Ra'd 28 is a gesture of wishing a lifetime of peace for the recipient. For a new couple or a new baby, it is a prestigious choice because it provides them with the most fundamental tool for emotional resilience: the remembrance of Allah. It is a gift that offers both aesthetic beauty and eternal spiritual value.

Yes. Each design features an integrated, hidden hanging mechanism on the reverse side. This allows the piece to be mounted securely with a single nail or screw, sitting flush yet 'floating' off the wall. The hardware remains invisible, ensuring the visual focus remains entirely on the elegant calligraphy.

Our master designers in Turkey meticulously verify every 'harakat' (vowel mark) to ensure 100% theological and calligraphic accuracy. We bridge centuries of Ottoman script heritage with modern industrial precision, delivering a piece that is as spiritually authentic as it is artistically superior.

The screws in the metal wall art are for the hanging bracket on the back and for the blind feet to provide a 3D view. Never attempt to remove them.
