Wood and metal wall pieces featuring arched mihrab silhouettes, geometric star patterns, and Ayatul Kursi to define prayer spaces and home masjids.

Mihrab wall art for a prayer corner at home

A mihrab is the arched niche in a mosque wall that shows the qibla, the direction of the Kaaba in Makkah. At home, a mihrab on the qibla wall marks the place of prayer and turns an ordinary corner into a prayer space. Read more in our article What is a mihrab?

Choosing the size

Our chenille prayer rugs are 70 x 120 cm, so a 66 x 90 cm arch is about as wide as the rug, and an 88 x 120 cm arch frames it with a little room on each side. In a large room or on a tall wall, the 111 x 150 and 133 x 180 cm arches read as a real niche from across the room. Narrow niches suit a hallway or the space between a door and a window.

Completing the prayer corner

Lay a prayer rug in front of the mihrab, keep a tasbih and a Quran stand within reach, and see our prayer room guide for more ideas. The collection also has a wooden stand that holds prayer rugs and a Quran, and key holders in a mihrab shape for the entrance.

Frequently Asked Questions

Mihrab design wall art is inspired by the traditional prayer niche found in mosques, which indicates the qibla (direction of the Kaaba). These artworks recreate the iconic arch form to bring spiritual orientation, focus and harmony into personal prayer corners or meditation spaces.

The mihrab symbolizes direction, clarity and spiritual alignment. It visually guides the mind toward prayer and reflection. In home décor, mihrab wall art helps establish a sacred area where worship feels centered and intentional.

Mihrab wall art is ideal for prayer corners, meditation rooms, living rooms or any space where you want to create a sense of spiritual focus. Many people place it above a prayer rug or behind a dua stand to form an intentional niche.

Most mihrabs in this collection are wooden: MDF in shiny gold, shiny silver or black. There are also metal mihrabs with a verse in a dome shape, verse panels in wood, metal and tempered glass, and a foldable wooden mihrab.

Many pieces feature Ayatul Kursi, dua texts, Shahadah, Kalimah or calligraphy honoring sacred sites like the Kaaba, Masjid al Nabawi and Al Aqsa. You can choose minimalist arches or detailed spiritual inscriptions depending on your preference.
