A prayer corner in one project

A steel mihrab, with the calligraphy that belongs around it

A mihrab in steel with the Allah-Muhammad calligraphy and Baqarah 144 in acrylic on wood, sized so the three pieces finish a prayer corner together rather than as three separate decisions.

Three decisions before it ships

  1. Size

Two sizes for the set. The mihrab runs 90 × 150 cm or 115 × 190 cm, and the calligraphy and the verse scale with it.

  2. Finish

Six combinations. The mihrab is gold or black; the wood pieces are gold or silver, chosen separately.

  3. Hanging

Three pieces on one wall, so the layout is the work. Lay the set out on the floor first.

What is written on it

Baqarah 144, the verse about facing the qiblah

The verse that gives a prayer corner its direction, set on the piece that runs beneath the mihrab.

فَوَلِّ وَجۡهَكَ شَطۡرَ ٱلۡمَسۡجِدِ ٱلۡحَرَامِۖ

Fawalli wajhaka shatral Masjidil Haraam

“[For prayer, O Muhammad] turn your face toward al-Masjid al-Haram”

Surah Al-Baqarah 2:144

Craft

Two materials, chosen for what each does best

The mihrab is cut from steel, which holds a clean arch at 190 cm without flexing. The Allah-Muhammad calligraphy and the Baqarah verse are acrylic layered on wood, which sits warmer at close range where they are read.

  • Steel for the mihrab, acrylic on wood for the two calligraphy pieces
  • Letterforms cut clean through, so the wall color becomes part of the artwork
  • Cut edges left clean through the fine strokes of the script
  • The weight and the edge of real metal rather than a printed panel

Why the cut matters. Because the script is cut out of the sheet rather than printed onto it, the wall behind becomes part of the artwork and the piece changes with the light in the room through the day.

Finishes

The finishes

Six combinations, because the mihrab and the calligraphy are specified separately — a gold mihrab with silver script reads differently from a set in one tone.

Hanging it

Lay the set out before the first fixing

Three pieces read as one prayer corner only if they share a center line, so the arrangement is worth more care than the fixings.

  1. Lay the set out on the floor

Arrange every piece exactly as it should read on the wall, with even gaps, then measure the total width and the distance to each fixing.

  2. Mark one shared line

Pencil a single level line on the wall and put every fixing on it. That is what keeps the pieces reading as one composition.

  3. Tape the outline, then work across

Painter's tape to the full outline lets you check the whole arrangement before drilling. Hang from one end and work across, checking each piece against the line.

Where it goes

Where the set goes

The prayer corner

The wall you face when you lay out the mat, at standing eye level rather than above it.

A hallway or landing

It reads on the way past, on a wall people walk by rather than sit in front of.

Above a console

A main living-room wall, centered on the furniture beneath rather than on the wall as a whole.

Care

Keeping it as it arrived

Dry cloth only

A soft, dry cloth along the length of the script. Nothing abrasive.

No cleaners

Alcohol, glass cleaner and polish will mark a finished metal surface. A barely damp cloth, dried at once, is enough.

Away from damp

An indoor piece. Keep it off bathroom walls and away from a kitchen extractor.

Choose your size and finish

Two sizes and six finish combinations. Tape the whole outline on the wall first — the total footprint is the only measurement that matters.

Frequently Asked Questions

The Mihrab is the most sacred architectural element of a mosque, symbolizing the 'gateway' to Divine presence. Displaying this motif at home helps designate a specific area for prayer and reflection, grounding the household in a state of 'Khushu' (devotion) and providing a constant visual connection to the Qibla.

Yes. Using Mihrab silhouettes is a time-honored tradition in Islamic interior design. It is intended to honor the sanctity of prayer spaces and serves as an educational tool for children to recognize the direction of worship. It is best placed in areas kept clean and used for quiet remembrance.

We use an advanced multi-layered construction that mimics the depth of a real mosque niche. This staggered 3D effect creates a sense of 'infinity' within the arch, allowing the intricate geometric patterns and calligraphy to cast subtle shadows that change as the daylight moves through your room.

Each piece undergoes a specialized coating process that provides a rich, lustrous texture. This finish is engineered to be moisture-resistant and anti-tarnish, ensuring the deep golds, silvers, or blacks retain their regal appearance without needing intense maintenance over the years.

While stunning in a living room, it is most impactful when placed on the wall facing the Qibla. This creates a 'home musallah' (prayer space), providing a dignified and beautiful focal point that anchors your daily prayers and spiritual routine.

Our design team in Turkey interprets classical Ottoman and Andalusian arches through a minimalist lens. By stripping back the heavy stone of traditional architecture into sleek, clean lines, we provide a piece that fits seamlessly into contemporary apartments while preserving centuries-old spiritual symbolism.

To maintain the pristine reflective surfaces and sharp edges, we recommend a light dusting with a dry, soft microfiber cloth. Avoiding chemical sprays or wet sponges will protect the integrity of the specialized finish and keep the intricate geometry looking sharp.

It is an exceptionally prestigious choice for public or private sacred spaces. Gifting a Mihrab design is seen as a gesture of support for a community’s spiritual growth, making it a highly appropriate contribution for a new masjid, prayer room, or Islamic library.

The art arrives ready for display with a pre-balanced, hidden mounting system on the back. This allows the Mihrab to sit securely against your wall with a slight gap, creating a professional 'floating' look that highlights its architectural silhouette without visible hardware.

Absolutely. Many of our Mihrab designs feature specific verses like Ayatul Kursi or Surah Al-Ikhlas. Our scholars and designers verify every stroke of the calligraphy to ensure total accuracy, providing you with a piece that is as religiously sound as it is aesthetically beautiful.

Yes, our Metal Mihrab Decors are pretty easy to install with the help of a little hardware such as nails or screws.
