Ramadan Kareem · Eid Mubarak

Both greetings, cut as one piece

Ramadan Kareem and Eid Mubarak cut together in wood with an acrylic face — for the table you dress before the fast breaks, or the wall behind it.

Two decisions before it ships

  1. Size

Made in one size, so the decision is where it stands or hangs.

  2. Hanging

Light enough to stand on a table or hang on a wall, which is most of why it gets moved through the month.

Craft

Acrylic over a cut board

6 mm MDF with a 1.2 mm acrylic face layered over it. Both greetings are cut into one piece, so it carries the whole month rather than needing swapping on the night of Eid.

  • Both greetings cut into a single piece
  • Cut and layered so the calligraphy sits forward of the panel behind it
  • Wood and acrylic combined, each carrying its own depth and grain
  • Edges finished clean, with no visible fixings on the face

On wood and acrylic. Layering the two materials is what gives the piece its depth: the acrylic carries the line of the calligraphy and the wood behind it gives the panel warmth and weight.

Hanging it

Standing or hanging, both work

On a table it becomes part of the iftar setting; on the wall behind it, it frames the table instead. Try it standing before you put a fixing in.

  1. Find the center of the wall

Mark the center point rather than measuring in from a corner — a layered panel wants to sit centered on the wall it occupies.

  2. Tape the outline first

Painter's tape to the full outline lets you judge the proportion from where you normally sit, before any fixing goes in.

  3. Hang and check the level

Hang it, then step back across the room. A panel with a straight top edge shows a tilt more readily than a cut silhouette does.

  • Ships ready to hang; no frame, glass or backing board to fit
  • Packed with corner protection for transit

Where it goes

Where it goes

The iftar table

Standing among the dates and the lamps, which is where most of these end up through Ramadan.

The wall behind the table

Hung, it frames the setting rather than joining it — better where the table is small.

A hallway or entry

The first thing seen on the way in through the month, and the reason it works as a gift.

Care

Keeping it as it arrived

Dry cloth only

A soft, dry cloth. Wood and acrylic both mark with abrasives, so nothing scouring.

No solvents

Alcohol and glass cleaner will haze acrylic. If a mark will not lift dry, use a barely damp cloth and dry it at once.

Away from damp and direct sun

Wood moves with humidity and acrylic can warm in direct sunlight, so give it an interior wall out of the midday light.

Choose your size and finish

One size, and one decision: table or wall. Try it standing first.

"Ramadan" is the sacred ninth month of the Islamic calendar, a time of fasting and reflection. "Kareem" translates to "Generous" or "Noble." Together, this greeting recognizes the month as a period of divine generosity, where the rewards for worship, charity, and good deeds are believed to be multiplied.

Welcoming the month with intentional decor serves as a "spiritual wake-up call" for the household. It transforms your living space into a sanctuary of worship, helping to sustain the energy of fasting and prayer from the first day through to the night of Laylat al-Qadr.

Displaying these pieces in high-traffic areas like the dining room or lounge makes the month's sacred status a central focus. It encourages children and guests to feel the excitement of the season and serves as a constant prompt for Dhikr (remembrance) during the long hours of fasting.

For children, spiritual concepts can feel abstract. Having physical symbols like the crescent moon or "Ramadan Kareem" calligraphy makes the faith "tangible." It creates positive, joyful associations with the holy month and teaches the virtue of Sabr (patience) as they count down the days to Eid.

Exchanging gifts during this month strengthens the bonds of the community. Gifting a piece of calligraphy is a gesture of wishing the recipient spiritual vitality and a "Generous Ramadan," making it a meaningful alternative to traditional gifts.

Our wall art pieces are meticulously crafted using acrylic, wood and metal material. For the premium finish, we apply a 1.2 mm shiny gold or silver acrylic coating, or paint coating for the metal designs.
