Mark it before you choose. Run painter's tape on the wall to the outer width and height, then stand back to where you normally sit and look at it from there. On a tall piece, hang it with its middle around 150 cm from the floor and the drop does the rest.

Five texts, one cut

Cutting all five texts from a single sheet is what fixes their spacing: the composition cannot drift on the wall, and the wall color fills every letterform at once.

Why the cut matters. Because the script is cut out of the sheet rather than printed onto it, the wall behind becomes part of the artwork and the piece changes with the light in the room through the day.

Hanging it

One piece, one center

With no gaps to manage, the only measurement is the center. Mark it, hang, then check the level from across the room.

  1. Mark the center, not the top

    Pencil a point about 150 cm up from the floor. On a tall piece the center line matters more than the top edge.

  2. Tape the outline first

    Painter's tape to the full width and height lets you judge the position from where you normally sit.

  3. Hang and level

    Hook it onto its fixing, slide it until it sits straight, then step back across the room to confirm.

Keeping it as it arrived

Dry cloth only

A soft, dry cloth along the length of the script. Nothing abrasive.

No cleaners

Alcohol, glass cleaner and polish will mark a finished metal surface. A barely damp cloth, dried at once, is enough.

Away from damp

An indoor piece. Keep it off bathroom walls and away from a kitchen extractor.
