Allah ! Point de divinité à part Lui, l'Éternel, le Garant de toute existence. Ni la somnolence ni le sommeil ne Le saisissent. À Lui appartient tout ce qui est dans les cieux et sur la terre. Qui peut intercéder auprès de Lui, si ce n'est par Sa permission ? Il sait ce qui les précède et ce qui les suivra, et ils ne comprennent rien de Son savoir, sauf ce qu'Il veut. “Allah! There is no deity except Him, the Ever-Living, the Sustainer of [all] existence. Neither drowsiness overtakes Him nor sleep. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. Who is it that can intercede with Him except by His permission? He knows what is [presently] before them and what will be after them, and they encompass not a thing of His knowledge except for what He wills. His Kursi extends over the heavens and the earth, and their preservation tires Him not. And He is the Most High, the Most Great.”

Craft

One verse, three bars, one Name

The verse is laid out across three bars rather than repeated, so they only read correctly stacked in order — and the Name of Allah is cut as its own piece, which is what lets the arrangement breathe instead of filling one rectangle.

Stack the three, then place the fourth

Set the three bars out on the floor with even gaps and measure the block they make; the Name goes beside that block, at the height that centers it against the three.

  1. Lay the set out on the floor

    Arrange every piece exactly as it should read on the wall, with even gaps, then measure the total width and the distance to each fixing.

  2. Mark one shared line

    Pencil a single level line on the wall and put every fixing on it. That is what keeps the pieces reading as one composition.

  3. Tape the outline, then work across

    Painter's tape to the full outline lets you check the whole arrangement before drilling. Hang from one end and work across, checking each piece against the line.
