A dua you will read twice a day — without ever meaning to

Keys go on the wall the second you walk in, and come off it the second you leave. Put the two duas of the threshold on that exact spot and the words stop being something you remember to say. They become part of the door.

It stands taller than it is wide. The mihrab arch means every size is portrait, so measure the height of your wall space first. Hold a sheet of printer paper against the wall upright: the small is almost exactly that sheet. The medium is that sheet half again as large in both directions, and the large is double it.

Craft

An arch over a panel, not a print in a frame

A mihrab arch is laser-cut from acrylic in a geometric lattice and mounted over the wood panel, so the border stands proud of the surface and throws a soft shadow as the light moves across the hallway. The duas themselves are UV-printed onto the panel beneath it.
